What is the problem with you guys? I think Sonia and Manmohan are doing a fantastic job. Why do you think we cant have a woman Prez, and whats wrong in a Muslim VP. I think they will all make a terrific combination, with Sonia-Manmohanji-Pratibha and Mr Ansari. Kudos to them for giving we Indians such a terrific team of devoted Indians. I now yu all are scared because you see a new group rising in power to challenge you all. I challenge you if you can defeat Congress and other like minded secular parties
Sonia thinks that by putting a corrupted Womna Prez and a muslim vice Prez, she will win minority votes and become PM in the next election. We all should vote against congress and defeat in the next election and prove that pleasing minority is not the way to win Indians heart. She should learn to treat every Indian in the same way irrespective of cast religion. Shame on our politicians... Whene evry countru is treating their citizens in equality why this shit politicians play dirty game... They all should be sent to some other galaxy

So by your own logic, the propose VP should be seen as an Indian with excellent service to Indians and should be treated in the same way as any other prospective person (irrespective of their religion or political standing) would be treated. Talk about who he is and what he has done, not about his religion or if he is a Muslim or not. C'mon people India is on the verge of becoming a super power, it does not suit or fit India well, if we carry on this British induced self hatred (of own countrymen). Let some sense prevail. Stop supporting each other based on region they come from, religion they belong to. Let us support the right person irrespective of their standings. Must I remind you that the constitution of India extends equal priviledges to one and all, every Indian. You are being unpatriotic and anti national in standing or having a view against what the constitution of the land, the law of the land preaches. And yes, please stop the hate and let us all progress hand in hand. Hum chalengey saath saath, leke haton mein haat. Man mein hai Vishwaas poora hai vishwaas. Hum hongey kamyaab ek din. How could you say "British sow the seeds of hatred" unless you are a muslim.. ITs just another islamic way of spresding hatred towrds west.
You'll find hatred wherever there are muslims around the world. Its not just between hindus and muslims. What about the shia and sunni hatred ? muslims and jews? Its not fair to blame british for the fault within your religion.
Hindus and xtians never fight Hindus and jews never fight Hindus and budists never fight Xtian and hindus never fight xtians and jews never fight xtians and buddist never fight.
But
there's no religion in this world muslims have fight with..
please understand the fact and dont blame others for your faulty religion.

If you know me or have read my posts you will know that I do not stand for hatred or preaching or practise hatred towards anyone. But there are certain events and ideas in history that you cannot brush aside as not being preachers of hate for personal gains. The divide and rule policy of the British is much known across the world. You are doing gross injustice to yourself and your argumetn by throwing a blanket allegation that wherever there are Muslims there is hate, without going into the details or behind the curtains of what really breeds the mistrust. Muslims as a whole do not hate anyone based on their respective religion. They have their difference of opinions and mistrust because of the injustices that have been done in the past and continue to be done to this date. Muslims dont have anything against the Jews or the west. They have everything against oppression and occupations. Us as Indians hated the british during the Independence struggle and fought with our sweat and blood to free us of their oppression and occupation. Same thing you see in Palestine today and in Iraq and other parts of the world where there is direct occupation and occupation by proxy. Let this injustices anc occupations end and there will be no hate. Its not hate really its fight for justice. Hindus and xians have fought over Indias Independence. Xtians and Jews have hated each other - pls read your history and history of the west. Again there its all about injustice dont drag teh religion.

we got independence mainly by non-violence..... But, u r comparing our independence movement with palestinian/iraqi movements, which r purely based on violence and terror...we fought for indepence to establish democracy, while they r fighting for independece to wipe-out their democracy...!!!
few years before, i thought that India would become super-power one day. i teached about its 'unity in diversity' in school, but what i seen were hatred/disintegrety among diff.religion,region/state, caste, etc. now, I m living in US for last 3 years and i realized why they r still super power after many years...USA is a country with immigrants from almost all region/religion of the world; still they live together w/o hatred...its all bcoz, here everybody treated as same dispite any religion/region..also strict laws and more importantly its implementation by governmnt is main reason for peace among all community.. Did u heared comunal riots in US ? Why? Bcoz, here u do not have reservations for ur caste/religion..Thats what we need in our nation..NO reservation for any caste/religion..and if u wanna make reservation, go for Woman/Handicap reservation instead..!It would be better for our nation.
So, if we want that India will become Super Power ,then we have to think about Quality (Inteligence/Qualification), and not Quantity (Population share/Caste), otherwise our qualified ppl. will be drain to other nations..and then we will just left with NOTHING..!!
This is very good decision by Sonia and UPA-Left. Mr. Ansari is well known personality as well as he was Former Vice Chancellor of AMU Aligarh and I guess he is presently linked with Hamdard Study circle (for IAS).

Minority Commissions are needed to protect the rights of Minorities. You dont hear of Majority Commissions because everything that ther is around you is for the Majority. Here's an idea for all of us. Why dont we all work towards bringing the backward and oppressed sections of the societies to a national par, equal represetnation that is based on intellect and capabilities and start treating every Indian with dignity respect and protect the cultural heritage and interests of all people. Then we wont need any Commission and there we wont be having this argument. What say? And Sandeep, I am a proud Indian Muslim, who has generations upon generation of Muslim forefathers buried in this heartland we all love, and call India. I have cousins serving in the IAS, IPS, my grandfather and his brother served in the IAS. Both my parents are professors of prominent universities in India. So what is so bothering or demeaning to you that I am a Muslim. Yes my fellow countrymen, you live in a country where like it or not, you are my brother and I am as yours. We all have lived together for centuries until the british sowed the seeds of hatred, and you are only carrying that branch of that hate tree and dont fail to wave it wheneveru get the chance. Indian Muslims are as much here and belong ehre as much as you do, and India and India's welfare belongs to Indian Muslims and every other person born here, or legally migrated here (as Sonia and others ) . Let us all strive fora better India. H

Please read my above post and if you really take pride in calling yourself as an Indian, lets us work together in breaking this cycle or mistrust and hate. Remember hate is not a virtue. Calling each others religions without knowing or researching about it is nothing short of being illeterate and demeaning towards others. And my dear brother nobody is playing the blame game here, look at my post and re read it, I am for a strong and powerful India from outside and inside. A strong society built on equality and justice. Let us all work towards that goal and do our great nation a great service. But if you have the mentality to demean, hate and divide your fellow country men more and that is hard coded into your existence, then I invite all my country men and women to pray for you and the disease that exists so far and wide in India. Let us pray for an India where everyone is looked at with equality there is no caste no religion or region based divides. All are coexisting with equal rights and opportunities. There is so much trust amongst our society that noone dare use US again for their own ends. Long live India and long live this Idea of peace. Hindustan Zindabaad.

Does your highness Gaurav Sharma know or has spent atleats 2 minutes to go beyond the Muslim identity/name and research at who that person nominated is?? Or do we have another hate monger, who can't stand to look at any other people belonging to different region or religion as Indians? I'll tell you what national shame is. National shame is treating an Indian who has served India and Indian as a convicted criminal in court. And let us support Haneef until he is proven guilty in court, a mere apprehension and suspicion of involvement for sharing a SIM to a cousin has landing him in this spot. How many times have you given your stuff to your friends and brother and family members. If they commit a crime, should you be accountable and treated as a criminal terrorist without being proven guilty of the crime? Talk about education...reading these columns, I find that more and more Indian of my generation have a viel of illetracy surrounding themselves. Shed that and rise up as real intellectuals. Gaurav, if you would like to engage in a constructive argument, please treat me first and last as an Indian. If you can do your country and countryman a favor, I would be truly indebted to you. Coming to the point of this argument, politicians do everything for a purpose. NO politician has done anything in this world for NOTHING. so yes, going by that logic, there is surely an angle to his being chosen. But do you think that there might also be a possibility that he must have been chosen because who he is. You certainly would agree that there is angle for that as well. Now my question to you is will you raise such doubts and questions the moment any Indian in this case he happens to be a Muslim is selected. If a Sikh person of prominence nominated should we think it was done for some purpose. Point Im trying to make is there are better ways to put forth your point, but the way you chose to put forth your concern stops nothing short of hateful and biased. And trust me Gaurav, there are enough of your brothers (Indian Muslims) who are intellectually capable and patriotic just as you and me are. Its just a matter of stopping the demeaning and ghetoization and you will find that all your brothers and sisters (your countrymen) are as capable and intellectual as you are. Lend them a helping hand and stop the hate. Have you the guts to do that? Lets all work together for a better strong India, strong not only from outside but from within so that no outsider will use us against us
