Media always act amaturish. Whatever news are getting published since the failed Glassgow attacks, there is lots of discrepancies in media. First media kept on telling Lebanese origin of Ahmed brothers then they ate their words. The real problem is Aust and UK police are not sharing much information with media, so media is relying on speculations and leaks from the lawyers. Whether SIM card is found within the Jeep or from one of the Arrested accused in UK doent matter much legally. More important is what are the records of UK police about phone calls from that SIM? What is the UK police interview version of Sabeel Ahmed revealing about Haneef's relation with them and his role in this particular incident. These things are going to be important and media doesn't have anything on that to share with us.

tats a thing we really need to put it forward and take a strong command on it....If it has been an Australian in Indian...things would have been opposite...our govt must take strong steps so as to avoid Indians being harrased abroad..

I dont see anything our govt can do because he is a suspect of a terrorism incident and being dealt as per australian anti-terrorism law (which unfortuanately we dont have). Our govt can investigate his past in India, his bank transaction details etc and can publish openly with the permission of Haneef's family.
Dear Friends, Dr. Haneef may have given his SIM without thinking of its probable misuse by his cousin. He may be innocent who wouldn't have thought of the dire consequences of parting with him SIM. Guys, don't sue him and just think that we all may tend to give our SIM to family members / close associate when we move to other place. Hindus, don't ridicule us by calling names to Islam or other religions. We are all very much part of modern India AND WE HAVE TO CO-EXIST WITH OUR MUSLIM BRETHREN. Let us unite against the racial abuse by these whites who still tend to think that they are Godly due to their skin.

Please have patience, let the courts do their job. We think police in all countries is like Indian police - expecting them to do shoddy and shabby investigation.
If he is innocent, he will be free soon. If not, let the law takes its course. Why pre-judge any country or its laws? We all know how honest are our own investigators - take any case which is in public lime light - corruption cases like Bofors (Rajiv Gandhi, Quattrochi, etc), Fodder scandal (Lalu & others), Jessica Lal case, Nitish Katara case (DP Yadav, etc), Mumbai Blasts probe, Gujarat Riots. Everywhere you will find those powerful but guilty persons are roaming free for 'lack of evidence', 'witness turning hostile', or 'straight forward collusion of investigative machinery of the state with those in power'.

First of all no matter what Haneef did was wrong in handing out the SIM to someone when he actually leaving the country forever. If I am planning to leave the US and if I have to pay early termination fee then so be it. I have a few cousins here who don't have a cellphone and doesn't mean I will hand it to them since I have to pay early termination fee. Especially in countries where credit history matters. Another mystery to this case is where Haneef claims he did not have any money to book the ticket when he lives in a apartment where he is paying almost $1000(Aus) in rent? Oops something is wrong here? I think Human Beings are the most forgivable creatures and this will only bite their back if they continue to support these terrorists(yaw I know not proven yet - But can someone disprove it). What Australia doing is correct and you don't need any justification to put these terrorist behind the bars forever.

Doesnt it look weired? He is earning loads of dollars in Australi and on the occassion of child birth at his home, he doesnt have spare money. I guess air ticket would cost 1/20th of his monthly salary and still he did not have enough money to buy airticket seems awkward arguement.

I think you didint hear his lawyers interview few days back in TOI. He said that his fees & payment method is not yet worked out but he is not too much bothered yet and will decide later.
It is not uncommon in India to gift or paying occassional expenses by in-laws especially on birth etc occassions.
You put yourself in Haneef situation and you will find whatever he did was just normal.

The Australian Police is very Fair [unlike the Police in some Arab countries].Nobody is treating Haneef as a Terrorisrt yet. Only as a possible Collaborator to crime. They are only trying to connect the loose ends of the inquiry. Local Muslims in India should be happy that he is not detained in aMuslim country, but in a civilised society.
This case is clearly racism against Indians...well there is no evidence against haneef yet he is being treated as terrorist...if a person is found to be involved in terrorst activity he should be hanged...but here the aust govt is creating racism/discrimination.........todays its haneef...2moro it might be any other indian(hindu/muslim...doesnot matter)...only the Indians will suffer!!!

Yup.. an apology must be fair enough..although he can sue the ploice for defaming him. No matter what other people say, giving a SIM card to others is a mistake..especially when you are leaving the country. Now see what that has led to.. and other thing, I doubt about Haneef not having saved any money.. Medical profession is a highly paid profession dude...

The security agencies over there dismissed it of as Suicide- Due to Vicrnium Bromide injectd. The Indian Commission Never even bothered. This person was in 30s and Great Heart Specialist. If properly investigated- facts would have come out- this did not happen. It is said- The Dead always return if the Death is Mystery.
