Hello Sir,

Feeling proud, that we had YOU as First citizen of India. It was really pride, honor to the nation. Being as a motivator, you made all the responsible citizens of India to drive for Vision 2020.

We all bow ourselves with veneration. We always remember you as a good teacher, philosopher, guide and most importantly, as a very good human being.

Wishing you all the best for all your future assignments and acheivements.

I had a previlege to work as a Customs Officer at Rameswaram between 1989 and 1992 and I am one of the innumerable people of the world sharing your Vision, Sir. I am now 60 and I want a developed India in my life time itself. We can achieve if the hands of those in power and authority are clean. For 4 decades I could work as an upright officer and continue to serve on post retirement through a mass movement of 'Right Information International Forum' with a motto of to Seek Justice, Share Knowledge in order to save the humanity. Our website to be hosted in August is 'www.rightinformer.com' and our e-mail id is 'rightinformer@gmail.com'. Sir we stand by you always and you will live long to realise your vision. Three Cheers. With respects. P. JACOB, ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS (RETD.) E 13 INCOMETAX OFFICERS' QUARTERS, NUNGAMBAKKAM HIGH ROAD, CHENNAI - 600 034.

Mr Jacob, it gives immense pleasure to know and realize that there are still dignified and honest persons like you who still work on the path of righteousness. If only our DIRTY POLITICIANS could LEARN something from this. Keep up the good spirit !!

Bidding Farewell to Mr. President
by dhinagar gnanapragasam on Jul 24, 2007 03:09 PM  Permalink

Sir,

We are really flooded with Heavy heart as today will be the last day as a President. But in those Five unforgettable years you have created Indilible Mark in Young Hearts. You are really the Leader of People with utmost Simplicity. In Today's world of Money, Power and Politics you have shown to the entire World how the Leader should be. This So called Politcal Leaders should gain Lesson from you. Really it is unfortunate to the entire Indian community that you cannot continue for the second Term. Though in the Survey you have secured more than 78% of People's preference these Dirty politics and Politiciancs have made a mess of it.

Still With sheer humbleness, Simplicity , love for the nation & People and Spiritual attitude towards life you have won the hearts of Millions. You have also shown to the Present so called Ploitical Leaders one can win the hearts of People through one's action rather than Bombastic and nonchalant Talks.

Though you are getting releived from the Public Prominance we can feel the vibration of your words and actions with in us and it will be for ever. Infact it will be very nice of you if you can write some column in any of the renowned news papers. Also we are eager to hear your Guiding speeches through News Channels(At least monthly once).
Sir we pray the Almighty to bestow you with Long Live and Excellent Health.

Humbly Yours,
Dhinagar

Dr Kalam might be relinquishing the office of the President of Indian Republic, but he is always available for useful advice. Of course whether the government would approach him for advice is a different matter. His vision of India by 2020 is possible only if we have a corruption free govt without petty minded politicians. Only value based political system can build the India which Dr. Kalam is visualizing.

I will go with two small suitcases: Kalam
by S P on Jul 24, 2007 12:38 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I know, Dr. Kalam is most educated/visionary president we had. But any one knows what he did as a president? e.g. JFK sent man on a moon. I pray to god the he(or someone like him) should again become a president. But do something big instead of just being ribbon cutter/prize giver person.

JFK was the president of USA, and there the president is the real head of the country, he has all the administrative powers. In India, the president is only a titular head, he can't do something extraordinary just if he wishes. If Dr. Kalam would have been the president of US, he would have done nothing less than JFK, perhaps even more than that.
