goodbye to Kalam
by ajay arora on Jul 31, 2007 04:18 PM  Permalink

I am a very ordinary person from a very small place but I can visualise the capability of such a great man like Kalam but why these politicians cannot see the greatness and work of him,I think they cant bear even a single honest person.

We as a common citizen doesn't have the power to elect our president otherwise I would have voted 100 times on the same ballot paper to see the great man ( Dr.Kalam ) of our days as Rashtrapathi of our country.
These politicians are spoiling our whole country political system
I salute Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam with utmost respect.henceforth, I try to follow the principals laid by him.

DEAR FRIENDS NO BODY TO BE BLAMED. IF FACT ALL OF US WHO ARE WRITING HERE ARE RESPONSIBLE. ON THE ELECTION DAY NON OF US GO AND GIVE OUR BALLOT. I THING WITH GOOD GUIDANCE GIVEN BY MR. TN SESHAN OUR EC IS WORKING IN A RESPONSIBLE WAY. THEREFORE WE ALL SHOULD GO AND GIVE OUR VOTE. IF WE DONOT LIKE A CANDIDATE = NORMALLY MOST OF THEM ARE CHOR, CRIMINALS - IN THAT CASE THERE IS A PROVISION - NON OF THEM ARE SUITABLE. I THINK WE SHOULD VOTE THERE.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING IS IN THE PRESENT PARLIMENT WHERE THERE IS 99 % CRIMINALS ARE DISHONEST POEPLE ARE THERE - WILL NOT LIKE ONE HONEST AND VISIONARY PRESIDENT. THEY WILL ALSO LIKE TO HAVE THE PRESIDENT FROM THEIR BIRADARY - FLOCK.
UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES SEND THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO THE PARLIAMENT SO THAT WE SHOULD AVOID SUCH A NICE PERSON LIKE DR KALAM - NOT GIVEN A CHANCE TO THE HIGHEST POST OF PRESIDENT. IN TODAY'S PRETEXT HE IS NOT FIT FOR THE POST BECAUSE HE IS VERY VERY HONEST. THIS IS THE BIGGEST STIGMA WHICH MADE DR. KALAM NOT TO BECOME THE PRESIDENT INSPITE OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLES E MAILS AND LOVE. AS YOU KNOW ONE OF THE MINISTERS SAID ALSO THAT PRESIDENTS ARE NOT ELECTED BY EMAILS BUT THEY ARE ELECTED BY CHORS AND DISHONEST PEOPLE. HE IS THE VERY RIGHT MINISTER TO DISQUALIFY DR. KALAM AND GOT A PERONS OF HIS OWN FLOCK. GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO CAST MY VOTE AND I WILL REQUEST ALL THOSE WHO READ THIS REDIFF TO CAST THEIR VOTE TO THE RIGHT PERSONS WHO CAN ELECT A PRESIDENT OF DR. KALAM'

Professor APJ Kalam, Visionary of India a developed nation...
by Jayesh Dhanak on Jul 31, 2007 01:02 PM  Permalink

Sir,
This is the first time in ever India's history a noble person would have been President of India.
Prof. Kalam is superior person who only have had a vision of India a developed nation by 2020.
How these idiotic and extreme selfish politicians can digest the thoughts of "Great Leader" and never a politician? I strongly believe it would be quite better he encourage the youths of the country being with educational organizations.

Have Better Chance in Shaping India 2020, Outside the Rashtrapathi Bhavan
by Kangoba sivasanthanam on Jul 30, 2007 10:18 PM  Permalink

In the present day setup, the President's seat is fit to be occupied by politicians only; and not by such a well deciplined, simplistic, optimistic, patriotic personality. It is sorry state of affairs in India that such scholarly personalities are criticised / kicked off by political illiterates mainly for their selfishness. I would rather appreciate that contribution of Dr Kalam to the Nation as a Scientist is much more than that he contributed as a President because his competencies got inhibited during his career as President by politicians. It is better he didn't opt for second term. Otherwise India might still lose his guidance as a Scientist. I hope he will shine still better outside the Rashtrapathi Bhavan in the service of igniting the minds to see a Super Power India 2020. Long live Dr Kalam!

Dr Kalam's innings in Rashtrapathi Bhavan
by Santhanam Krishnan on Jul 28, 2007 05:20 PM  Permalink

It is high time we (the electorate as a whole) opt for direct election of President of India. Elected politicians do not favour the electorates' wishes - a strange irony, watched helplessly by the electorate themselves who have elected these members!- This should change. The change should be initiated by people. Well Dr. Kalam, all is not lost - There is always a second term.

Can still inspire
by deepak varghese on Jul 28, 2007 11:59 AM  Permalink

I believe that Kalam sir can still influence the people of this country. It is a wrong feeling that you have to be a President to bring about changes. The knowledge which he is going to impart to his students is going to be of immense value. By being in public i believe he is going to be more accesible than when he was the president. Moreover in our country what role has a president got to play?
