Shiv Sena's Marathi Spirit !
by patriot on Jul 20, 2007 09:51 AM  Permalink

What's wrong with what Shiv Sena has done? There are many incidences of regional spirit and when any other regional party does it, media has appreciated ! In the past, TDP has supported Narasinh Rao during 1991 Lok Sabha election, Bengalis have supported Ganguly, and many more incidences. So, what's wrong if Shiv Sena supports Marathi person for presidential post? BJP should not claim bakstabbing :) Shiv Sena is the only alliance party in NDA which did not bring BJP into trouble during NDA ruling period at center. BJP in Maharashtra got stronger due to Sena support. Before 1990's and even today, BJP does not have courage to fight "gundas" of congress. Shiv Sena found itself into trouble when Narayan Rane and Raj left the party. And BJP did not help Sena at that time ! Sena itself is a separate political party and Sena can't always go with BJP .. otherwise, why should there be 2 different parties?

Prez poll
by Susamma Devassy on Jul 20, 2007 12:24 AM  Permalink

The domocratic India need a president, who can lead the nation in peace and prospirity. We are not interested to hear/listen anybody's whealth or bank balance. How many Gandhian's are there in India to lead the nation. Now a days there is no gandhi's or its struggle in the Indian history, there are lot of scams and corruptions and terrerism in the Indian history for studing the children. So we need selfishless, who can sacryfies there life for the nation not for their family and relatives.

Are you crazy? Just because, Thackrey has supported Marathi person for presidential post, why should he be sent to Andaman ? By that analogy, all bengalis should be sent to Andaman for supporting Ganguly and all Telagus should be sent to Andaman for supporting Narasinh Rao
First of all, you should be sent to Andaman !

Some pointers for Shekhawat :
by prabhat mohanty on Jul 19, 2007 02:08 PM  Permalink

Shekhawat's non-particpation in Indian Freedom Struggle is well known.

Shekhawat, as the Opposition Leader of Rajasthan Assembly, had written to then Chief Minister Harideo Joshi pleading for the release of a heroin smuggler who was operating on the Indo-Pakistan border and was caught in Barmer. Shekhawat even had to admit, when confronted on the floor of the House with the letter, that he did plead for the smuggler's release.

A drug smuggler, Ashwini Bharadwaj, who claimed publicly that he had provided 12 jeeps for Shekhawat's election campaign and also funded the entire election campaign of his son-in-law Rajvi.

The son-in-law also has been involved in more than a couple of land scams, one involving over 250 bighas. When the matter came up before Shekhawat when he was the Chief Minister, he covered it up saying that matter had been referred to CBI and it had given his son-in-law a clean chit.

But later it was found that no such matter had been referred to the CBI at all and no enquiry therefore had taken place.

A blade company Amfort which he had inaugurated, had gobbled up crore of rupees of deposits by ordinary farmers and disappeared. Several cases were filed across Rajasthan and one FIR even named Shekhawat in it on the orders of a court. However the dalit SP, Mahavir Prasad who had ordered the registration of the FIR, was harassed so much that he died of brain hemorrhage.

I hope that should be enough...

Dear Modwerator,
You really can't hide the extreme truth by hiding the messages that portray a clear picture of the thoughts coming form the whole nation. That's why I am sending the message again
What the hellThakrey has done to the country except supporting fundamentalism and regionalism. Now he has come up with an INTELLIGENT?????? idea of supporting the marathi candidate for President post. Why can't they come over with all this dirty politics of regionalism. All these HONORABLE politicians want their pockets to be full of money and let the nation go to hell. The younger generation must take an initiative soon, otherwise it's gonna be too late awakening.

Probably the moderator would now be happy to see the politically correct language.
