Abdul kalam was a decent man and too nice a person. He was much loved and respected by those around him and those who ran the country. The only thing kalam did not do is use this position to his advantage. He could have raised his voice against the atrocities and injustices commited by the far right hindu communal parties against the minorities scapegoating them and even framing them for crimes they did not commit. He had a chance . He lost it.But again the position of a president is only a figurehead and i dont believe he could have done much. Even if he did novbody would have listened tohim any way. He might have even be accused by the BJP/RSS for 'sympathising with the terrorists' as these ignorant people appear to harbour hate and prejudice by their stereo typing the muslim minority of india.

Some people will never change, however good anyone does for their community. You are the communal guys and deserve the treatment given by US.
Dr.Kalam a great man, scientist and over all a great Indian man who make the country pround single handedly taking country millions of young minds to the 2020 vision and millions are working on it to become the super power that we all dream for..... Let make his dream a reality in 2020
I am currently on an official tour to china and looking at the amazing infrastructure they have in tianjin, beijing and shanghai. It talks about the intellectual marvel of that country's personnel. When i think about intellectuals, the first person who come to my mind is the first citizen of our country "Bharat". I understand from the media that Mrs.Pratibha has become the first president of our country. While i would congragulate her as the first women president of our country, we the citizens of our country would have preferred you to hold this apex post for our country to drive our country in terms of economic, social, cultural and all round development. I think our country has immense potential in people and we are not utilising our potential to the full extent. I think our country enjoyed an high esteem amongst the world population during your regime as President, for your simplicity, intellectual abilities and to top it all, give respect and take respect from people. I think it is high time we tell the politicians that their selection as well as the selection of any representative of the constitution (including the presidential candidate) should be in the hands of the public. The politicians should not act as per their whims and fancies. we would miss you as president and only wish that Ms.pratibha acts independently and do not dance (though i like dancing) to the whims and fancies of the UPA government.
Take care of your health and regards to your family
President from the people, of the people, for the people. What a unified voice from all over India and from all sections of the society. That's called performance. U have been inspiration to we millions and U will continue to be. It would be dream come true to meet u in person. Plz do continue to express views through articles and through writting of books..today's generation needs regular messages from an honest Indian. Sir, u r president in our hearts, forever. We salute you.
As I write this, my eyes are filled with tears, literally, to think that we'll be missing you as our Leader. But you have rule our heart and will always do so. And as you leave us today, all we say is Thank You Sir, God Bless.
It was great to have you as a President. I just wish that some of the dreams you would have seen for India but you couldn't bring it to reality, will be taken care by our new President.
