It is wrong to blame the president for that. You should be blaming the over-enthusiastic police and security officials for that.

Kalam's departure from Rashtrapathi Bhavan
by SreenivasaRao K. on Jul 18, 2007 05:03 PM  Permalink

The country will miss a gentleman president! It will be quite some time before someone like him occupies the position. Dear President, you have enhanced the reputation of the position when everybody considered it a rubber stamp job only! How I wish his dream project on linking of rivers starts in your lifetime.

India doesn't want corrupt politicians ; they want someone who can be like APJ Abdul Kalam, reaching out top teh common people, listening to their problems, inventing new hopes in them and building a nation which doesn't lack behind in any field. This should not be mandatory that only politicians know how to rule the nation rather any person who understands that india is our country and the indians are our fellowmen can be the ruler of the nation.

very right kavita. he has shown a mirror to our corrupt politicians. he had no political background yet performed very well as president of india. the way he has behaved i think he is very spritual in real term. only a real spritual person can think about humanity and coutnry in this way. not so called fundamentalist who are far far away from the essence of religion.

When all Muslims are seen with a raised brow (including the missile man of Pakistan- Abdul kadir)I think APJ Abdul Kalam is the person who is seen as an ideal person by all the youths in India.....I sincerely have all my warm wishes for him.....Thanks for making us proud by being the president of this country....I personally think that for the first time we Indians are proud of any person sitting on this post.........I have my anguish towards these so called politicians who for thier own say are sacrificing the verdict of so called democratic country to give another term to him........... We were supposed to be by the people, for the people and of the people..where did this go.......Anywayz nothing can be changed...i just want to say.............I am proud to be a citizen of this country..during your regime.......
