Thank u President
by on Jul 24, 2007 02:18 PM  Permalink

Sir
Thank u for leading our nation for past 5 years. It is ur sincerity, dedication and simplicity which is lacking among today's Politicians.
Ur affection to children and willingness to make today's Youngsters understand their real value of Life were clearly visible in ur tenure. We the people still look forward to ur thoughts and knowledge, and we r glad that we will continue to get it thro ur teachings.
India's Politics is so much corrupted and its clearly visible where there were no politicians to back up such a worthy president without selfish motives. Also Honesty and simplicity has died away with u in Indian Politics.
But sir we the People r thr to hear ur valuable thoughts and share ur Knowledge, so sir do continue ur noble work.

how good it is to scream out here?
does any of the writers, editors, readers and media have the balls to come out on the streets to support Dr.Kalam and oppose the Congress?

sadly there are hardly a few.

I'm inviting you all to meet up tommorrow, in every city, every town, come out on the streets, show your displeasure on sonias decision.
start forming groups, more and more people will join you for this cause.

i would like to thank Mr.A.P.J.ABDUL KALAM not only for being a good President, but also for being such a visionary and for advocating the virtue of thinking big and aiming high among the children of INDIA. He gave the children the courage to dream and his interaction with them gave a new meaning and direction in their life. He taught them of the need to be patriotic but not fanatic. He took pains to travel across the country and interact with the people , listening to them and offering his views. He was a PEOPLE'S PRESIDENT. That i think is his greatest achievement and he will be remembered as a person who used the highest postion to the betterment of people and not for his own.
It is a shame that the calculative and narrow hearted politicians donot found him suitable for a 2nd term. We could understand the leftists for opposing him as they were against his first term also and ahd a contestant against him. But one could never fathom the fact the Congress and B.J.P, those unusual allies in having him elected as the President, found out after 5 years that he is no longer suited for that post. May be it is becuase of the fact they only now found out that he is not a cheap politician who dances to their tunes and he is a proud INDIAN who would never let these political HIGDAS to dictate terms to him.
once again thank you SIR, for letting us have those wonderful years of thinking, national pride and letting us know that there was a PRESIDENT who cared about the people of this na

cruel politicians???
by Raj Kothari on Jul 23, 2007 01:38 PM  Permalink

The politicians are representatives of their locality. But none of them even bothered to take the opinions of their local citizens about the president. All have just done on their own party formulas and none bother the general people's feeling. When so many people like Kalam, why MLA/ MP's did not inform the centre about the same. all cruel politics..

Just another politician
by Newcomb on Jul 23, 2007 06:36 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Kalam was just another politician. Real scientists like late Dr. Raja Ramanna stayed focused on scientific research. What will Kalam teach at Anna Univ? Politics? How to promote onself? Real change is brought about by "doers" like Narayana Murthy, Medha Patkar. Kalam just knew to say the rigth things and create an positive image.

Seemingly, you seem to understand the problem better than the rest. Now can you name one person of similar calibre (a leader a politician scientist) who is capable of replcaing A.P.J. Kalam? With due respect to each of these big names you mentioned here, how can you compare someone who leads the nation to someone who is leading a team, a company, a factional group. The real world, specially because of its rapid changing and shrinking nature, values experience in diversified fields. Thats where A.P.J. Kalam is miles ahead of others. Think my friend think.

In India - you need to have an opinon about everything - irrespective of whether it makes sense or not. This is just yet another instance of it. Reason why till today we pride ourselvers in being a nation of talkers. Who the hell cares?? We will do/say/write anything just for the sake of being different. Our substance level inherently is low and whatever we have anyway gets drowned in mediocre decibels/sound bites. While the whole nation is overwhelmingly at loss on Dr.Kalam's departure, this writer alone looks like he knows things the rest of us do not - because he is very forthright and empathetical in saying Dr.Kalam was 'just another politican'. What a statement! Just don't know how to react. Hope your virtues are just not your knowledge of written English and an internet access. Jai Hind! - SNMani.

His Excellency Kalam may lead the Nation towards Golden days!
by Gautam nil on Jul 22, 2007 11:59 PM  Permalink

We the people of India desire and request His Excellency shri A.P.J.Kalam to organize a huge organization to be led by honest and bold former higher officers like Mr. Seshan etc., to lead a national forum to bring about a great revolution against the corrupt politicians, officers and other black sheep at top to ensure that they are immediately vacated and driven out of their positions and put them behind the bar inclusive of judiciary which is indirectly supported by the corrupt! By seeing the latest manufacture and supply of crores and crores worth of spurious and fake medicines that are one third of total medicines ! Entire country has broken down and the nation has failed with dancing of corruption practically in every field and at every level. We need services of A.P.J.Kalam to organize a people's force to capture all the huge number of corrupt politicians and officers to make them inside jails immediately and in latest scam, Many medical practitioners too are the black sheep as they are the ones who get huge percentage of commissions in these spurious medicines too. Let us all the people of this nation join to request His Excellency shri A.P.J.Kalam to organize to lead the people against the totally failed Nation!
