Shivaji was the only Hindu Emporer and he doesn't need anybody's certificate or support. Nor any author can undermine his importance.
But India has been slowly being pushed towards "INTOLERANCE, HATRED & PROTESTS" on all fronts & at every given opportunity.
Political parties don't want waste any opportunity to score over each other. Before Shiv Sena could take up that issue, Congress CM has raised it.
It was strange as well as surprising to find Muslims in India protesting against Saddam' execution. Where as in so-called Islamic countries (all GCC countries), there were none.
Similarly over the visits of Bush & Blair. What harm Bush & Blair have done to Indian Muslims ? Why Indian foreign policy be subject to the whims of one community ?
Point is "why such Intolerance & Hatred is being fed by Political Parties" ??
Tomorrow we will be UNTOUCHABLES OF THE WORLD SOCIETY. Nobody will be interested in Indians.
This is really silly. We have to have freedom of expression. What ever Jaimes Laine says about Shivaji, is not going to undermine his status or importance in the Indian history. All it is going to hurt are some silly sentiments or a group of people.
