Hanif 's Case
by Reji A on Jul 17, 2007 02:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I must admit that it was very stupid of Hanif to give his SIM card to his killer cousin. At the same time, Aussies are over reacting. Had it been a white guy, there would have been no issue at all. Hanif is any way in Prisonland ( another name of AUstralia).

What Hanif should have done is when the SIM was handed over to his cousin, he should have also informed the Service Provider about the change who inturn would have made the changes accordingly. Changing SIM cards doesn't look like a issue. But not informing about this to the concerned (in this case the Mobile Service Provider) is the real issue. These are the ones which raises suspicion

Guys, How many of you are following the traffic signals properly in India @ least? Its a simple one. Like that how many of you haven't lent your mobile phone to your relatives (leave friends) at for some time? Its just some sought of help that you do occassionally. Just don't take as thought you are very sincere Indian citizens or @least human beings.

Australia-where person was charges only coz he had given his SIM card to terror suspects!
India-where it took the judicial court more than 10 years to take the decision to convict terrorists. And also, person whome many weapons of destruction were seized is free and have greater respect in our society!

Correct. While his friends were charged and sentenced for the same crime, Sanjay Dutt with his clout as the brother of Congress MP is still shooting pictures. Strange of the outcomes of our judicial activism.

RE:what a shame
by Ajay Gupta on Jul 17, 2007 02:32 PM  Permalink
It is not a question of religion, here the question of a Indian being treated fairly by so called 'Superior or developed' world. If he is guilty than punish him by all means, but, first of all they need to establish that, and till that time he remains an Indian citizen, and we indeed (whatever our internal differences and prejudices are) should support a fair and just treatment under law of the country. Just a question, if any US or Brit was in same position, there whole country would be supporting fair treatment for their fellow citizen irrespective of religion or race. That's what is wrong with us Indians-- bahar walon ke samne to unity dikhani chahiye!

100% true Ajay. What to do? Our Politicians are busy covering themselves from the mistakes they do and how will they ever have time to think of an ordinary Indian Citizen in Australia or anyother country or even in India?

Hari Prasad. Grow up!. U sound like a fanatic. India is suffering on account of misdeeds by politicians, leaders, police, corrupt babus. This has lead to poor ecomomic growth and support systems. That is why people go out of India to lead a better life for themselves and their family!!!.

We are suffering from terrorism from all angles. Mumbai, kashmir, bangalor delhi,...long list. Somebody have to call spy a spy. If u dont call a terrorist a terrorist, your son and daughter and the next generation will suffer. They will be slaves. Lot of people call spy a spy. Dont support terrorists or kind to terrorists. There is a say that when you doubt, they must be terrorists. Mine is a reaction to the exraordinary appeasement of minority community

by Milind Wadodkar on Jul 17, 2007 02:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Haneef & their family had actually brought shame to the country.Instead being strongly condemning them Our SONIA led Govt is sympathasing with them. It is a height of MINORITY APPEASEMENT. I feel so guilty.

Milind,
How has Haneef brought shame to the country when his crime has not yet been proved? When the Australian courts have bailed him, the government has unlawfully detained him by cancelling his visa. If this was to happen to a citizen of USA or UK their governments will rip apart the australian government.

Let me reiterate Haneef is innocent until proven guilty and we as Indians must pressurise the Oz government rather than leave Haneef to their mercy.

Rather I feel guilty that you are Indian!

This is how the country is being slowly turned into a terrorist hotbed, by politicians who cannot see beyond their noses and their VIP security. But what of the people who elect such shameless and treacherous mother sellers, for whom their cheap vote banks is more valuable than their motherland. What remains is for them to appoint a defence lawyer for Guru Afzal, give him the Bharat Ratna, invite Mohd Azhar and the rest of the terrorist gangs officially into the country and have us all Indians screwed up. This is what we can expect from a country that has already sold out to a non-descript, unimpressive, selfish, selfseeking and opportunist foreigner and a party that is famous for appeasing everyone else except the true original Indian. Keep it up Manmohan Singh and Sonia, when India has patriots like you, who wants traitors?
