They sent me even power of attorney which looks so real and signed by the justice of Ghana. i was really amazed.

Hi Pradeep, Don't make experiments with such cheaters. Even before you can understand they will cheat you. I think if you have received the Power of Attorney, then they must know your home address. Their colleuges are also present here in India and can keep an eye on you to make different strategies to cheat you. BEWARE of them. Thanks Nirakar
My friend has had the experience of chatting on yahoo mesngr with a lady, who claimed to be the widow of a amazingly rich politican from the U.K. who wanted to start some business in India. After a couple of e-mails, she asked for his bank account and other details, which he refused to give immediatley but promised to give at a later date, after verifying credentials. She has not responded after that. .....there are many more scams happening all around ..... be smart guys..... money never comes free.... if something is too good to be true, it proabably is not true.
I regularly get job and lottery by my hotmail. This happening only with hot mail accoint.salary offered 1000000 per month with all facility. Please do not reply also.
It is not only the money which is offered. One of friend was offer 25,000$ per month as eng for Nigerian airline. He was so exited that he even called up the guys in nigeria and they confirmed that he has the offer and he can take it or leave it.
This job was offered without looking at cv or interviewing. Boy was all set to go - good sense prevailed and he called me and others to pin point why would he be offered a 25,000$ job ? This is more dangerous then the money scam cause this boy would have taken a flight and would have landed in disaster. Has govt taken any initiative to rule out this kind of mishap ?
It is very interesting & educative article. I too received several mails from these cheters , but I ignored 7 deleted them. Anyhow, it is better to bring wreness about these scams to one & all. D.P.Reddy
Thanks Mr. Sreenivasan for this useful article. Now a days even such mails are pouring from Spain & U.K., might be Nigerians leaving there are doing such tactis. Can anyone elaborate about Nigerian Black Dollar Scam?
Many thanks to Mr.TPS for alert. It is experienced on mails from Nig.that suddenly you start receiving mails for winning money and if you respond either by mail/fax you are in trap. During my previous employment, I experienced this many times as I was saddling a position which involved in price verification, quality assessment and quantity verification of exported goods to various countries. With Regards, Uday
This is really an eye-opener. As stated, I am sure that at least 1 Indian in every thousand would be tempted to respond positively to these spammers and may end up losing everything.
This is one of the best articles I have read on Rediff in recent times.
