Any offer is for a consideration. But in such agreements like 123 nuclear one which is of highly sensitive and national importance, there must be invisible advantage hidden behind the consideration against the offer which seems now to be more advantageous to the nation what we get in exchange. For this reason, if it is fully possible to make ourselves sure that we can fulfill all the obligations covering the agreement without loosing our national self importance and this agreement will never tangle the nation to the disavantage of the posterity. Still enough time left to ensure that the terms and conditions of the agreement is well read and understood taking all remarks on the disadvantages and dangers lying in the offer agreement during negotations by our peers and experts into consideration. As a nation we enjoy a sort of freedom and that is what India cherish in memory when identifying ourselves with the yester years' struggling to achieve it and we in no want to loose it due to anybody's folly actions. This is nothing wrong if both sides in the event of an agreemt expect more than what is given and if there is no lacuna on the unexpected and unexhibited agenda if any, then nothing to worry about!

Trust me dont even think of teaching US a lesson...its not called superpower for no reason. It can handle any enemy specially havin stron friend like UK......and its so dumb!!! theres no reason to fight US, fight Pak and china instead.

anyone with merit will always succeed in america, there is no need to pull strings, pay a bribe, know a minister or have an uncle in an powerful position.
america is top in education (70% world top universities), business (300 largest corporations), science (270 nobel prizes in science), sports (2400 olympic medals)......because MERIT is given the greatest importance.

Dr. Kakodkar is very learned man and is a great patriot. He will never compromise on Indian National interests. He cannot be forced down. He is extremely firm in his approach. Fortunately he is conducting the negotiations.
As long as he is there US cannot force India to accept some third class nuclear citizenship.
I am only afraid about his safety. He could be killed by CIA, chinese or ISI. I hope Indian govt is protecting him properly.

Ratnesh - yes it is an eye opener. Hope, the Indian Government is not leaving anything to chance to safegaurd our gems like Dr. Kakodkar.
CIA, ISI or Chinese can go to any extremes.
This specifically brings into focuss the death of our ex PM Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri in Tashkent, the death of a nuclear scientist in a plane crash, etc.

Don't worry, there is more than one Dr.Kakodkar. We all agree with him. If they think they can sway India so easily, they'll be in for a grand surprise. There's a whole army of Indian scientists and patriots. There is more in India than meets the eye. Jai Hind.

DONT BOTHER ABOUT SO CALLED LOCAL SCIENTISTS, THEY LAST WON A NOBEL PRIZE IN SCIENCE IN 1930. MOST ARE GONE TO USA OR TRYING FOR US VISA. MAJORITY DEFENCE PROJECTS HAVE FAILED. EG. ARJUN TANK, TEJAS FIGHTER.

Signing this agreement has been a fantasy..... both the nations are talking about it quite for sometime,but nothing has to a formal accord. This agreement is significant at least for India, since many of our projects are on standstill after the sanctions which the US imposed on us after the nuclear tests. In this era, no one ignore the importance of the US and getting into an agreement with them on this will be strategic importance. Even if it is important to sign the agreement, we need not bend our backbones to the Americans. They also know they can't just avoid India, so its their priority too.

nonsense, 3 million indians are in america (both citizens & permanent residents), more than in gulf and any way the gulf is not a single country and gulf does NOT give citizenship to indians as they are considered inferior to arabs.
indians in gulf are abused & beaten by sheiks, while in maerica they occupy top positions.
