There should be more educated Muslims like you. Educated in the true sense of the word. Maybe one of you have been chosen the deliver the devine message of peace.
Earlier I was a little upset that educated Muslims do not take the effort to guide other un-educated Muslims. Guidance in education, religious interpretations, guidance in becoming prosperous and succesful citizens. Atleast there are a handful like you.
Regarding your take on Muslims voting for BJP, do you remember that during the the BJP rule there were no religious rights. The Babri masjid was demolished during the congress rule. If the muslims were to vote for the BJP, BJP cannot use the Hindu card. Nor can the Congress use the Minority appeasement or caste-division card. Elections will be based purely in real issues. BJP spokesman is a Muslim. More muslims should get in to BJP. That will make the BJP for like Vajpayee rather than Advani.

You catch hold of a loitering muslim lout, take him to neighbourhood madrassa, teach him alien Arabic alphabets and of course robotic memorising of the holy book. He becomes literate, albeit in Arabic or at the most Urdu. But since he had people who thought a madrassa is good for him around him with all their medieval thinking and you can imagine their religious views, he can still, and most certainly will go on to become a terrorist. A middle class muslim family sends its children to school, college and then to professional courses maybe even further up. He may become a nuclear physicist or a neurosurgeon but if they lament and vilify their muslim neighbour is not averse to having a tilak put on his forehead during community ceremonies or the troubles of far off (killer) Chechens or Bosnians, their son will most certainly ram a truckload of explosives into buildings and airports. A roadside muslim mechanic who went to school for a day or two but had to leave it to support his family by working doesn't know arithmatic beyond his routine calculations, geography beyond his neighbourhood, history beyond the hungry nights that his family has gone through, but he will be always cheerful when the old hindu gentleman comes to him again and again with his old scooter, he will ask the lady carrying bags of vegetables if he should drop the kids home, the thought of blowing up a fellow human being, let alone himself, will be as alien to him as violence was to Mahavir. Going by the overwhelming support our honarable PM is showing the suspects, it wouldnt be surprising if he receives food cooked at the PM's house. Maybe even a compensation of something like 5 lakhs for the his suffering when he was in the australian detention? Surely cant rule out that probability too. Lets wait and watch

I suggest stepping into PMs shoes for a moment and asking what youd do? Just disown him? Thats it? And that will somehow provide our country an esteem that we do not encourage terrorism? As opposed to getting the first right- ENSURE that the legal prosecution is something our nation agrees with (thus providing legal assitance- it is an upfront cost but saves the blushes of a hayware conclusion and impact on bigger moneys in India)?
Dosowning is the easier way out as many counterparts do in the MiddleEast? While Nations like US and UK bring the accused to their own country and try under their own laws. It is placing a beleif in its own legal system above that of another country.

Guys, Have you noticed that there is no discussion board on the news for Kaleef and Haneef, the two Muslim terrorists from India? Idiot congress govt of India is helping these terrorists. This govt would get those terrorists in India and would forgive them.
Support him all out if he is innocent. But I am sure had he had been caught in India in same cercumstances, our security agencies would have grilled him and must have been charged with serious charges. Why is govt. now meddling with others. If you feel some injust is done to our people support them and if our people are wrong they should be punished.

true but if court has granted bail. why detaining him on some other pretext.... Let hoom be in Aus as long as they want but why in detention. Already he is there for 15 days and nothing is found. they charged him with giving his SIM...If the probe is not complete say o clearly... even the Human rights people in Aus will not support this...

A person who is truly experienced the ALL PERVADING DIVINITY OR ALLAH OR GOD OR HEAVENLY FATHER OR PARAMATMA by way of their own path (or set of rules or religion) will truly understand that all paths lead to the same destination, which is to realize the all pervading divinity that exists in everyone and everywhere.
Those who resort to violence in the name of religion are the true non-beloevers. Had they truly understood of their religion and that of ALLAH or GOD or PARAMATma, they would never ever resort to violence.

Shahzad, The moment minority appeasment and pseudo secularism stops from politicians, the whole muslim community in india will come out of its problems.Please understand that all the frustration is due to the negleting of problems of a majority community. Imagine muslim leauge supporting a BJP at center, where will pseudo secularists like left and congress will go.They have to rewrite their manifesto to exclude the word secular.Infact such a day may come!!

I totally agree with you all.First of all let me tell you (brother balamurli) that what my personal opinion is.Congress is obviously not a good choice for Indians.Yes I do support BJP but to a certain extent if you see BJP is also extremists sometimes.Now, what I think is if all Muslims just for once vote BJP or Shiv Sena & let them rule our country or state for lets say even 1 year, we can see the difference.There would be no hard feelings about any religion.Because the Muslim community is blindly voting Congress, they won't know what the other parties can do for them.In fact all should be tried & given a chance.Then only we can compare the governing parties.

Any educated person would apply his mind to the things which are said...and take his decisions based on things he is seeing on ground rather on baseless rumours of progarms shown on movies/tv....

Yes, I am also thinking the same that how come the well educated people are under the influence of such baseless activities.Me & my elder brother are very keen to know how these idiots brainwash the doctors, emgineers, etc.And we have come to a conclusion that its the responsibility of every parent to teach what exactly the religion they follow mean & what it restricts from doing.Also we have to keep an eye on every child of our family & carry out the upbringing of each child in such a way that he brings glory to their Country INDIA, their religion & their family.Can't anyone think before doing such idiotic act that what his LORD has said...is this act satisfy his GOD.Never,will they follow these so called Jihadis.Jihad is a fight against all evils & not a fight with the west or any other religion.Start your jihad within yourself.Ponder at the end of the day-what good deeds you did & what bad you did.Evaluate yourself & try to overcome your faults.Read your Holy book & see the commentaries to learn how a mankind can gain his world & hereafter by serving other mankind,animals,or any other living being.The people who are been targetted are either without any religious knowledge or wrong religious knowledge.Why don't they think that if ALLAH has created all then who are you to kill anyone.Its written in Holy Quran that"ALLAH is with the people who shows patience & tolerance".Then why do u do all this.The people who r behind this r getting highly paid & least bothered abt Islam.

EDUCATION DOESNOT MEAN JUST GETTING SOME DEGREES BY BY-HEARTING BOOKS. Education means gaining character and having humanity values.
Similarly, knowing religious rules does not mean the person knows divinity. The most religiously living person who can vent out any thing from any holy book may not be having true experiences of ALL PERVADING DIVINITY. After all, religion(set of rules) is a path to realize all pervading divintiy, and it by itself is not the GOD or the destiny.
Guyz, I see so many messages posted here scolding our present government. Even i scold. None of us go during the elections to vote a party which can do good to the country. It could be any party. I am especially talking about literates living in cities and towns. If we dont see our names in the initial version of the voters list we dont even bother to follow up on that issue to get our names added. It was the case with me too. I did realize my mistake and made sure my name was added in the last loksabha elections. I or infact nobody can say anything against NRI's living in US because they constitute a small percentage. And if we were them we would not fly down to India to vote. So atleast people living in India should take responsibility to come forward and vote. The initial results might not be satisfying,atleast the new generation will get benefitted out of this. Please think about it.
