Bombay pays
by on Jul 12, 2007 02:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The bottom line is that Bombay has always been made to pay for other peoples mistakes. Religious fanatics (and they are there in all communities) tear down places of worship... Mumbai faces the brunt. Politicians sit back and watch communities in Gujrat being killed, Mumbai faces the brunt.
And all that we do is pass statements saying we are unbreakable. Very easy to say it if tyou've not lost someone in the blasts.

Instead of spending time and money hunting down terroists, throw these politicians behind bars. Eliminate the root cause of these terrorists...

But alas, we live in a country where 1 life or 2000 or even 1 million doesn't really mean anything.

All we can do is sit back and allow things to happen.

I pity your ignorance. You say they targetted Hindus? Hahaha... I've heard of womens only trains but I have still to see a Hindu only compartment. Hindus, Muslims and other communities all died in the blasts. People may argue that more Hindus dies, but thats a mathematical probability especially since over 80% of our population is Hindu.

And what about the CM of Gujrat? Is he not a terrorist? People like you prefer to ignore it. Just on the basis of religion?

People have forgotten what religion is. They feel the need to fight for its survival. By indulging in violence, they forget the basic principles of all religions - to love your bretheren.

Any religion or god for which you need to kill another is very weak. By doing it, you admit that your religion is weak.

I'm not a muslim or a hindu. But I know that in any religion there are fanatics who will say things to you for their own benefit. Unfortunately when 90% of your population is illiterate or can sell their souls for a bottle of cheap liquor, you will beleive what they say.

Peace to all!

it is foolishness to believe that we should protect our religion by whatever means... religion should protect us by its principles and standards.. whosoever, even if he is the highest priest, pope or cleric, issues a fatwa against anybody is not fit to be called a protector of a particular reglion as no religion preaches or directs killing or harming any other living being.

Pakistan is training & sending the terrorists to India in the name of Jehad.
Major General of Pak army accepted that the Lal Masjid ,militants were trained in Afganistan & Kashmir and were hard core radicals.
Pakistant is not only abetting terrorism with the help of ISI to India but the world over, be it UK ,US Europe, even Indonesia & far east.
When you guys would accept the truth.
Be honest. I respect all relgion equally ,but if it is radical elements ,the intellectuals of Islamic society should condemn it ,whether in India or abroag. Indians muslims have not done that, however Mian Mussarf has recognised it . The monster he created would destroy him also. So ,he took strong action against the Madrsas like Lal Masjid in Pakistan which spread radicalism & terrorism. What about Indian Government, which is impot.
Your ( nameless) comments are like politicians lacking in honesty ,which even Pakistan is showing of late.

While I recognize Pakistans support of jehadis for terrorism against India, I think it would interesting to see some articles on what RAW does..especially with regard to offensive measures in other coutries. Please don't tell me that there is an office of 2000 people in Delhi practiciing gulli dandaa

. While I hope some of the brainiest guys are working to protect our country, it would be naïve for us indians to believe they are there only to 'protect' bharat mata, spread peace and wait for Pakistan to make terror moves.

Please note that in most Pakistani press the name of RAW appears whenever there is a turmoil

disclaimer : love india. would like to see south asia as one country some day as a thriving democracy

Your is a very stupid argument...There might be people from different religions but what is the majority? MUSLIM--you fool

Before calling Gujrat CM a terrorist...try to talk to the hindu community there and they will tell u how much they have tolerated the misbehaviours and oppression of the muslim community...their anger had to boil at some point....

read what is happening to bangladeshi hindus.. mass cleansing of 2.5 million hindus from bangladesh.

Visit this website to know more...www.hinduhumanrights.org/Bangladesh/IndexBangladesh.html - 8k -....

hopefully u will understand the difference...If we dont stand up now...this will one day be our fate....And what r we trying to hide here...shouldn't we call a tragedy a tragedy.....shouldn't we call muslim terrorism "terrorism"....wake up

Mumbai common sense
by Vineet on Jul 12, 2007 02:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

A Good Article. Nicely brought up the feelings.

The Quartet of our media- NDTV, CNN IBN, TOI,HT & our own brave PM talk about the Mumbai spirit. But what would a common Mumbaiker do? If he stays at home he is sure he will die of hunger and depression. If he goes out there's still chance that he may live. This common sense is paraded as "Mumbai spirit".

the so-called Mumbai spirit is a convinient way of politicians to escape their responsibility og providing safety and security of life to indian citizens. But it is OK as long the dead are hindus.
