RE:Mohammed misguided his followers - HE Married his DAUGHTER-IN-LAW
by Abdul Surti on Jul 11, 2007 09:57 PM  Permalink
Ok let me ask you some questions...
1) Why did Ram has to take help of Hanuman to kill Ravan, Ram was God wasn't he?
2) When Shiva came to his own house, he beheaded Ganesh, how come being God he didn't know that Ganesh is his own son. After that, being God he should have power to make him alive again and same state as before but he choose elephant's face as his son face...strange..
3) Its mention Ramayana that Bharat's father and Ram use to hunt..so there are two things-first they were eating meat,so meat is allowed or they were killing for fun, God can't kill for fun..
-there are many other questions, first shoot the answer of above questions and we will go from there.

RE:Mohammed misguided his followers - HE Married his DAUGHTER-IN-LAW

Dear SriRam,
Please try to understand that Mohammad existed in seventh sentury Arabia, where the practices were very different from today. So today's practices cannot be used to pass judgement on Him. We need to look at the good things he preached, which were indeed very radical for his time, especially the concept of Universal Brotherhood. In the Muslim world, there is also the concept of Ijtehad, which basically means adapting religious practices to current times. One of the most prominent Ijtehadis was Abu Hanafi, and most of Indian Muslims are his followers. Sadly, in India, vested interests among the Indian Muslim Clergy have shut the doors to ijtehad. What is important is to support forces of Ijtehad among Indian Muslims, and break the back of the Mafiosi among the Muslim Clergy. But for that, you, SriRam bhai, must give up such confrontational messages.

Governments Take Notice
by Kush Dashrath on Jul 11, 2007 09:41 PM  Permalink

The above event proves that it is dangerous for Governments to create any form of extremist set-up for their benefit. These soon become unmanageable just as in Bhindranwale in India, Osama and Taliban in Afghanistan or LTTE in Sri lanka. Fanning extremist beliefs based on religion will sooner or later boomerang. Governments should concentrate on governance, justice and ensuring fair and equitable opportunity to citizens. If only all Governments did that the world would a more peaceful and happy place.
