The Lal Masjid seems to have taken bullet holes during the cross-fire. An operation done by an Islamic army against Islamic terrorists. This situation is similar to an operation by Indian army against militants taking refuge in a mosque in Kashmir a few years ago. The headlines that time by our pseudo-secular media was "Mosque damaged during cross-fire".
Is it ok if a mosque is damaged by Pakistan Army instead of Indian Army for an identical cause ? How come we dont see processions on street or Shabani Aazmi making statements in press ?

Why you forgot to mention operation Blue Star or let me know waht is the deifference-?
Pakistan army has a very bad image. Greedy pakistani millitary officers can do every thing for money and plots. they can even sell their mothers and daughers. Such greedy and immoral people should not be tolerated. War on terror can't be won without having punished the pakistan's army's top heriechy

this incident happened due to Mr.MUSHARRAF. it's all happened due to his irresponsibility. He is self terrorist so don't any hope from Musharraf. i think , he should say sorry to Islami Pepole.
Today the Islamic world 4 distinct models of governance infront of it!!! 1) The Taliban Model - Back to medivielism!!!Absolutist!!! 2)The Iranian Model - A nation headed by an ayatollah!!! Religion decides each and every aspect of life. The clergy/ulema are the supreme!! 3)The Saudi Arabia/UAE Model - A nation headed by an autocratic monarch. More flexible than the Iranian Model when it comes to following religion. For eg. Dubai allows legalised gambling and consumption of alchohol, which are regarded as crimes in sharia. The ulema only plays second fiddle to the monarchy!! 4)The Turkey Model - A secular democratic nation. Highly western in lifestyle and culture. Religion palys minimal role in public life and zero role in the functioning of the state.
Pakistan and the rest of the Islamic staes will have to chose between any one of these 4 models!!!

I think the Pakistanis like model #4 - at least the elite - businessmen , military and professionals. Democracy in Pakistan will lead to #2 - the Iranian model - while a military dictatorship can lead to model #4.
