Nobody understands why politicians in our part of the world do this again and again. After all, there is a proverb which says that those who live by the sword die by it. Nobody has been spared in this bloody exercise. We have a lot of examples in our country - the Gandhi clan for example.

Musharraf should find an underground bunker for himself a la Saddam Hussein if he has to survive from here on. The pack of fanatics who were nurtured by him have come back baying for his blood. Not surprisingly, the miyahs in his own country do not want to sympathise with him.

A lot of action can be expected from now in our neighbourhood and India can only be concerned as an unstable neighbour is a more worrying factor than a stable one. Unfortunately all around our borders, there is continuing problem racking our neighbours.

Wonder what our secular, candle-march type pseudo secular, bleeding heart radicals would want to do now.

Imagine if it had happened in our country and it involved flushing militants from a mosque in Delhi!!

Musharaf
by chilkoor sachidev kumar on Jul 06, 2007 05:30 PM  Permalink

The Indian govt. must be alert to the internal strife in Pakistan. The way he his handling things, he will be under tremendous pressure and if not out of volition, out of the need to vent he may try something adventurous like kargil. We must be mature enough that this mature man will become a gun trotting kid and to gain some public recognition. Also, I will never trust the US. The guy Bush, more because of his idiocy will also ferment something rash and come around our side and invite us to a dinner. Bush must be treated as nuisance value and looked down upon at all times. Further, this pain, exults in 'street rowdysim'. His accent, face and gesture is that of a typical roadside bully. US has power, money. WE can beat them with brains. They will never have a clue if we applied it.
