I have a family friend of muslim faith. We know each other since 1980s. But if he calls me now i will be worried with fear when i speak to him. It is sad it has come to this.

You can say the same about me wrt to non-indians. But i can easily tell that i am a hindu and get the trust.

Whatever it has come to this point...

Butterfly effect.

Gujrat riots may seem so unrelated to london bombings but Gujrat riot is flutter of the butterfly which created this storm in London in some way.

We are sentimental people and for us religous sentiments take precedence over humanitarian sentiments.

Gujarat riots were not one-sided at all!
by Rajesh Nayak on Jul 06, 2007 10:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear all- Hindus and Muslims- there is absolutely no reason for Muslims to take to terrorism because of the Gujarat riots. This is because they were not one-sided.
The Hindu in its report dated 2nd March 2002 says,"Unlike Feb 28 when one community was entirely at the receving end, the minority backlash today has worsened the situation". The UPA government of Sonia-Communists gave the figure of 790 Muslims and 313 Hindus killed in Gujarat in Rajya Sabha on 11 May 2005.
After 3rd March 2002, every riot in Gujarat was started by Muslims. The report of the then English dailies also clealry shows this. At a point of time, 40,000 Hindus were in releif camps in Gujarat. Muslims brutaully attacked and killed Hindus in Gujarat even after Godhra. Never believe media bluffs on the Gujarat riots. There is nothing that happened in Gujarat that should be a source of anger to Islamists. Three court judgments in Gujarat have sentenced 26 Muslims for rioting and killing Hindus in Gujarat after Godhra. The Muslim community was entirely at the receving end only on Feb 28.IN WHICH STATE IS GODHRA LOCATED? WHO KILLED THE 59 WOMEN CHILDREN MEN AND THE OLD ON FEB 27 BY BURNING THEM ALIVE? The English media is equally guilty. Not only was there A CONTRAST OF DAY AND NIGHT IN THE VERSIONS OF THE RIOTS AS PROJECETD BY THE GUJARATI MEDIA AND THE ENGLISH MEDIA there was also a huge difference in the versions projected by the same English media in March April 2002 and the later months.

Is It Enough?
by chhanda pathak on Jul 06, 2007 10:02 PM  Permalink

I often feel that childhood of a person which involves very limited interaction with the outside World and most with near and dear ones affect the future wellbeing of that person. The hatred infused about any faith/religion from childhood in any form affects and reflets in later age when a person begins to develop skewed personality. The examples of such skewed nature are now coming out in open in Glasgow attackers. These very best of the lot groomed without any reservation benefit could have been some of the best amongst the lot, are now known for not so good deeds done. Father/mother are responsible aat the early stages in the grooming of inner personality and these parentes have failed miserably. The mother who is a medic by training replied to media question.."who is not aa fundamentalist?" is a singular example to understand the inner psych of early mentors. How can you expect such mother to raise aa child with balanced attitude?

May GOD bless them!!

the way out

hi all.
after readin so many scraps over here, i am more than willing to share my veiw.i 'l start by introducin myself..23 yrs of age,a devout muslim and a hardcore indian.
when all these activities take place, there r too many interpretations from all quarters.any educated person irrespective of religion will never go against humanity.and by natures rule, if u suppress any one there comes a time when a revolt takes place.samething is happening with muslims and any minority worldwide.and for this, population in the majority is responsible.its really painful when some hindu brothers taunt you as a pakistani and by other invectives.
it is not a matter of hinduism or islam but its a matter of illeteracy and provacation by selfproclaimed pundits and maulvis.if we think for a moment without being biased everybody on this forum will agree that muslims are not being treated equally at all front.take example of government jobs, elite jobs, army.its not that they are not educated and patriotic but certainly there is a prejudice prevailing.same thing haapens where a muslim is in majoprity...they are not good with other people....
so we must pledge to ourselves that we will not allow ourselves to be directed by any communal thoughts.we have to rise above all this to make an amazing india where people of every community leaved in peace and there prevails an amazing aura of love and peace...
luv u all buddy...luv india

Reza,
Just one question...Do you think Saudi Arabian muslims are suppressed too....do you think pakistani muslims are supressed too..then why are those ppl behind every other attack any where in world. I personally have many muslims friends esp from pakistan, but they could not answer my question. Please do not bring US/UK into account, do not blame those coutries because they in some muslim maulivis experience is hurting muslims. Since you guys are doing the same, you are hurting the whole concept of humanity.... I always used to tell my collegues, education makes a difference thats why none of the indian muslims were ever involved in attacks in UK/US/Europe...I am so ashamed of what Indian guys has done, irrespective of his religion, bad actions goes agains whole community.

I respect your views. But, You cannot say that muslims are not being given enough opportunity. How else can you expect Dr. Abdul Kalam to be the president of India. I have personally witnessed some people from certain community bursting crackers when India loses a cricket match with Pakistan.Inspite of all this i still feel it is wrong to judge entire communities due to the misdoings of a few.

I took agree with Saquib Reza... I have got 2 muslim friends and they are Indians. They are very religious. Apart from that they are so good guys. I have seen many people who they do not give house for rent for muslim people. While there is no reason for prejudicing these people. I think we should avoid this. From my little experience I have seen them not cheating anybody and also they do not take other's single penny for granted.

As long as you practise Islam, you can not love all. Please denounce this cult then you can love everybody. First try to clear the bad name of your religion from faithfreedom.org. Everybody knows the fact of Islam through that site.

hi deepak.....
u have rightly pointed out...i had conciously written so.....
let me clarify......a true muslim is always bound by its country's constitution otherwise he is traitor.....and a traitor can't b a tru muslim.
if i m tru muslim i will always try my best to do the best for my country but if i m indian first then it dilutes the whole concept....being indian doesnt mean that u r patriotic ang truthful....u may b or u may b not.but in my veiw if i m a muslim, born in this country, then i m bound with all the responsibility of being faithful to my mother land.......
may b u can differ from my veiw but i believe in this..........

have u read quran?interpretting anythin according to our thought can b damaging at times......tell me anything thats communal or something which is spreading hatred in quran.......its a long discussion but i'l crtainly remove ur doubts ab't islam.....i am never against hindus.......islam never condemns other relegion....islam had the first agreement with jews for stopping war and leaving peacefully.......islam teaches ab't taking care of neighbours irrespective of religion....
there are lots of things......one of my classmates who is hindu was very dobtful and hated muslims......but when u come closer,u try to know...they are not different.........only difference is education....illeteracy is an anathema for our society........may god save us

Hey Saquib,
Sounds like you have read Quran. By the way, after 911 lot of people read Koran due to curiosity. Please don't try to convince us about your koran. If you are well versed of koran please visit faithfreedom.org and establish your thought by arguing with Ali Sina, the man who came to save the world and the Muslims.

Reza,
I have had a number of muslim friends (am 59) my friend are good people and some of them were not very literate, but very hardworking.

One of them a literate, once narrated to me, how the maulvis in the masjid, tell the illiterate "Smiuggling is not a crime as per the koran" ... this came to me as a shocker.

Another thing, I have never understood, almost all of them were clean shaven, about 20 years ago, the same people, I find have grown full beards today, as they have grown older ... when I Q them on this, they just laugh it off, no explanation given.

Plus we all together, got to do something, to improve conditions in India.

What we require is a strong peoples movement to take on the arrogant, corrupt Government officials and politicians, Rogues in the Police force and the Judiciary... JOIN IN NOW. CITIZENS POLICING THE CORRUPT AND POLICE IS A MUST TODAY.

i agree to certain points that u raised.supression and a will to dominate are two different issues.u take majority of muslim countries.most of them are autocartic.why so?the tendency to obey whether it is logical or illogical if it is drilled to ur brain mixed with religious overdose is the prime reason.U cannot say that muslims dont get a fair chance.if that was the case our president wont be a muslima nd also a great scientist.U prove ur worth to the country like everybody does. The distrust of muslims is because of their ideologies only.i have seen in certain quarters when there is a match between pakistan and india,if pakistan wins, they distribute sweets and light crackers. So whom u are blaming for?u can say such people are minority.and they are illiterate etc...The guys caught here are doctors and engineers ! it is all in the conditioned mindset.Pls dont blame others for ur short falls.Every religion has short falls and plus points. What is the ultimate aim?to make one a good human being.I have not heard that if u live like this,u will get direct entry to heaven.Anybody went there and cameback to certify that?Y u are not treated equally?because u make ur own cocoons and hide in that. How i will know if a best friends mother passes me in burqa?i should at leat say to her assalamu aliakum becasuse she is on par with my mother.integrate to the society with noble thoughts.every one will respect you.u dont need a tag to say that u r a patriotic indian.ur actions will speak loud
