Bigger threat.
by Chandu on Jul 04, 2007 02:24 PM  Permalink

The educated terrorists are a bigger threat to the society than the novice terrorist. It also makes the fate of Muslims bleaker in India. It will become difficult for the educated Muslims to prove their credibility. People will start suspecting them for no reason. It is really ingratitude in its peak when a professional
turns a terrorist. Imagine the amount of money the govt. puts into when a graduate comes out of any professional college. This also throws a question mark over the strategy of giving more educational and vocational benefits to special communities to sail over backwardness. The onus is now on
the community and religious leaders to take adequate steps and make sure that their community doesnot get labeled as terrorists. A few drops of venom is enough to spoil even an ocean of milk.

One Way ticket mystery
by nagendra singh on Jul 04, 2007 02:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

"It is learnt the doctor was headed for India via Kuala Lumpur, on a one-way air ticket, but had not resigned from his job at the Gold Coast Hospital.
"
A two way ticket costs just 20 % more than a single way ticket. If you are going back within the 180 day time then you will 99% purchase a 2 way (Return) ticket.

But if you purpose is finished in one trip then return ticket is not needed.
Q Why did Mr Haneef buy a single way ticket even if you have not resigned?
A I was not supposed to go back.

Also the sim card was the same

A Person is innocent unless proved guilty.
Also the question which you have raised does not prove anything. Many a times a person does not know exact day of his return while visiting family members.

Lastly - if there are two possibilities why are we trying to look at the negative one - when the reputation and entire lives of families involved is at stake ?? Lets not jump to conclusions - After 9/11 attacks many so called suspected terrorists supposed to be part of the suicide mission were found to be alive. Hence let us not be blinded by religious bias.

Amputation is the solution
by unni krishnan nair on Jul 04, 2007 02:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have full sympathies for this family. Any family anywhere in the world may end up in such a situation now. May be it is a case of mistaken identity. May be there is something sinister. I can only hope for the best.

But the fact remains. The damage has been done. The word Muslim has become, unfortunately, synonymous with terrrorist. Similarly the word Islam is identified with terrorism. Whom to blame for this?
The Hindus? Christians? Bush? Blair?

Now a situation has arisen wherein you can safely assume in case of a Bomb attack anywhere in the world, that the perpetrators are Muslims. Its not a situation created by Media.

Identifying oneself as a Muslim has the danger of being branded as a potential terrorist. It has given rise to a new psychological situation. Till yesterday you are a pious Muslim. One fine morning you wake up as a terrorist. The Sudden Jihadi Syndrome. That%u2019s the disease. Amputation is the only remedy. Amputation of the Islamic Part of the affected person.

You need guts to do that. The the so called moderate Muslims can do that. But will they? That%u2019s the Billion dollar question.

Can Advani amputate the hindu part of his personality
Cam narendar modi do it . These are also terrorist. Right.
When you people rape 100s of mulsim girls and put muslim men behind bars for no reason, that is not terrorism.
But when a muslim man fights for his right he is branded as a terrorist.
Can you uni remove hindu from your personality

The problem with you is not addressing the issue before you. The issue facing the world is not Advani or Narendra Modi. The issue is Islamic Terrorism identified as Sudden Jihadi Syndrome. You can not solve it by treating Advani and Modi or amputating Hindu from my personality. If this solves the problem of the world I dont mind doing so.

Sunny,

These animals are not harmful. People worfhipping them are not creating trouble. People like you are responsible for spoing the world in the name of Jihad. Now you decide which god is better. You may call our god a joker but he is the one who will teach you how to co-exist. ONLY the people who worship these gods have told ' Sarve Janah SUKHINO BHAVANTHU'. We have nover told - HINDU sukhino bhavanthu.

Lets hope that our fellow Indian is innocent
by Indian Guy on Jul 04, 2007 01:57 PM  Permalink

Please dont put any comments without knowing the facts. I also dont know anything about this incident but people seem to believe that guy is a terrorist.

Lets the Govt of India take the matter in our hands -- in case the guy has links he must be severly punished but in case he is not then Australia must release the guy.

Our Govt must not let Australia or UK tarnish our image. In case the guy is guilty then he must be severly punished but lets get our Agencies get to the bottom of this. Why is our Govt not reacting??

Indian
