DMK has always prided itself in doing anti-hindu activities. Now, breaking down Ramar bridge will be its icing on the cake. As long as Hindus in TN vote for DMK they will continue to make mockery of Hindu sentiments

Parathasarathy, don't try to be to smart, first know the facts, then argue. If you are brahnmin, doesn't mean you are smart (say you fools always think). Geological Survey of India study found that the Sethu isn't manmade but a result of sedimentation of clay, sandstone and limestone. NASA calls it a tomobolo, a bar of sand connecting one island with another that usually indicates a constant sediment source.
Whatever the evidence, the Govt will not budge. Whatever the sentiment of Hindus, the Govt will not budge. They do not care for these sentiments as they are from the Hindus. The Congress is pro-minority and the main supporting party the DMK is anti-hindu. So we cannot expect any kind of consideration from this UPA Govt.
Further more, this was a pet project of DMK and the shipping minister in UPA is from DMK and DMK is the most important supporting party of the UPA. Hence, it is unlikely that the UPA will see reason. Not just this this subject, but in anything that they want. It is a pity that this is the situation. God save India!!!
If environmentalist do not come out against this they will lose all respect in India. This is a potential enviromental disaster for a possible economic gain. The only reason environmentalists may not be against this is if they hate religion more than they love the environment. Those who are not Hindu, remember those who hate religion usually hate all and your beloved sites may the next target. Put a stop to this now!
These politicians need education and they need to be taught how to respect our national heritage. In Other countries, they make every piece of stone, to a beautiful site to visit. Its the fate of our country where there politicians are hell bent upon destroying our own heritage and wipe out the identity of the great religion.
Forgetting religion, I'd like to ask (dont know whom)- Can they ever make such a structure with all the advanced engineering skills and the money hey are gulping from us?
Only the people of India need to teach them a lesson. All the politicians who are involved in this religious conspiracy against the sentiments of so many Indans will face the consequences.
Most Engineers and staff of CPWD and other organisation will be delighted, to see her as President ... What's more, thereafter, if any bridge collapses or a Dam bursts, you will never be able to take anyone to task... After all they will identify themselves, with the highest dignitary of India.
"I deny the allegations being made against me ..." says Pratibha Tai .. Pravin Mahajan also has said similiar lines ... He must be released from jail immediately.
After she becomes President, corruption and frauds, will attain high respectability ... All the corrupt and frauds, will identify themselves, with the highest dignitary of India.
It is time the citizens of India, shed their timid attitude towards, disgusting conduct of the Politicans, police, the bureacrats and the judiciary ... the confidence being felt within Indians, due to rapid economic progress, should also be felt in other areas... like confidence to usher in change
What we require is a strong peoples movement to take on the arrogant, corrupt Government officials and politicians, Rogues in the Police force and the Judiciary... JOIN IN NOW. CITIZENS POLICING THE CORRUPT AND POLICE IS A MUST TODAY.

I AM ALL OUT WITH YOU AND HOPE TO GET MORE PEOPLE
Whether it is Ramar Sethu or Adam's bridge one more piece of our national heritage is going to go down on the drain (Like the numerous temples, kohinoor diamond, peacock throne etc). It is quite an irony that TR Baalu (He is an atheist, but i think he believes in numerology...) was a former environment minister who has a scant regard for the nature. Ramar Sethu if not man made (Which is his argument) is definitely a natural phenomenon. If that is the case is it good to destroy it? Can anybody even imagine of creating such a beauty...It is an Indian equivalent of Great Barrier reef and what are we upto...hell bent on destroying it. TR Baalu has the same regard for Adam's bridge as he had for Vijayakanth's Kalyanamandapam.
Personally i wasnt convinced by what any of the side said, what has changed my opinion is the fact that, that the canal cant survive because of the Ocean currents and i say for that and only that point should this cannal must not be build, this apart from the rare SHANKA.
I will give an example for this, the PORT TRUST of INDIA manages the Mumbai Port, as we all know that Mumbai Port is the largest Port handling Maximum of our Sea Import/ Exports, now without going into detail engineering, it requires that for a ship to DOCK, man made gates need to be opened so that the water can rise and hence RISE the Ship along with it and Vice Versa depending on the tide. The point to be noted is the port still operates on the WOODEN DOORS made by BRITISH since the new STEEL doors made by L&T (i am not sure of the company) a decade ago could not withstand the SEA-PRESSURES. They were at different location.
No one needs to explain that there are NATURAL HARBOURS and ARTIFICIAL Harbours and Artifical Harbours are rarely good enough.
So a new Harbour build by GUI near mumbai NAVA-SHEWA, still cant handel the capacity as that of Mumbai, inspite of proposed larger capacity.
Bottom line, the Cannal's Finacial and Stability should be confirmed and if not forgoten, else that Canal will become another Adam's Valley !!!
