We cannot blame a party which has not ruled our country.
Obviously there will be problems during long tenure to resolve AND there will be problems which are difficult to resolve but not impossible
Allway we blame present and hope for future.
If you donot work at your work place YOU DONOT HAVE ANY MISTAKES! ISNOT IT? Similarly Congress ruled & worked for our country for period It is very easy to criticize but very difficult to appreciate Sonia Gandhi all the way came to our country, adopted Indian culture, Learn Hindi. Here is one more CHMCHA OF Madam SONIA.... congress is junk party..
Everybody in today's world is under stress. But army personnels are strong hearted. They are strong enough to cope with the stress. They obviously don't commit suicide out of stress related problems. There must be something else and a deep probe into the case is necessary. A soldier dying to enemy's bullet is acceptable and will be honoured for his martyrdom but a soldier dying to his own bullets is totally unacceptable since it sends wrong signals.

Priya... stress is inevitable in Military and particularly when posted in vurnerable areas/borders. These jawans are ably trained to overcome stress related problems to some extent...but if the suicides are the cause of some other problems, then it is very serious to the military and the nation..
You are right...now a days we all are very much concerned about the Neglegence of this Congress lead govt. I smell something fishy, this govt least care about ULFA and and to the terrors in J&K. WHat if it goes like this. All should know SONIA wont care about India's future, if her supporters see her as a replacement of Our Late PM Rajeev, its wrong buddies. We are almost in DEEP SHIT with this GOVT.

Though the pay pacakage is not the only reason for suicide, I strongly agree that they should get a salary of at least Rs.10,000/- In a metro city, an office attendant earns a salary upto Rs.6000/- or more. The freebies given to army personnel is a different issue. But the current cost of living definitely asks for a salary of Rs.10,000 minimum

yes...while an average salary is important, more than that, the working condition, environment of colleagues and seniors, encouragement, care, etc. are more important for the jawans who protect our borders day and night sacrificing their family and domestic life. It is because of their sacrifice that we are confortable wherever we are and able to shoot out messages like this in internet...

nobody is forcing anybody to join the military. it is ones own wish to join the military knowing very well the pay scale and living conditions. it is the stress, internal politics between the seniors and juniors, biased treatments on posting, holidays, leave etc. that is driving the jawans to take the extreme steps. Moreso, the posting in J&K is the most dangerous, vulnerable and under stringent conditions in which the jawans spend their days and nights.

Because, they too are human beings and cannot live an animal's life for long durations. They have to satisfy their personal needs, give some time to families, attend social gatherings etc., which unfortunately is not taken care by the government.

This suicide has nothing to do w/ our policy in J&K. The treatment metted out to serving soldiers in our present "free market" system especially in an area like J&K can be described as shoddy at best.
While the country prepares to shower IT managers & BPO owners with riches and perks, folks like soldiers find themselves largely neglected. Especially the lower ranked non commissioned officers.
Find me ONE case of soldier suicide in Nehruvian India...
