The act of commiting suicide by a lady army officer should not be taken lightly. If there is stress than who is responsible for this.It is easy for our politicians to neglect these kind of issues as these people are not suffering. Nobody from their family has died so why are they bothered. They are busy minting money by doing all the wrong acts, so why should they be bothered. I remeber when Mufti Mohammed Syyed's daughter got kidnapped than he happily released the terrorist. When there attack on Parliament our forces were sent to border to fight pakistan. Our Politicians come to act only when they are harmed, otherwise so many people are dying everyday, they are not bothered. I salute Indian Army and all the officers for taking caring our country. WE COMMAN MEN ARE WITH YOU OUR FRIENDS.
It is very sad that a patriotic lady officer has committed suicide. It would be very premature to comment anything on the incident, till all the truth leading to the unfortunate incident event come out.
However, I feel it my duty to say a couple of words. First, presence women officers in the support forces (except the medical corps) is quite a late happening. Though these women have come through the rigorous selection procedure and successfully undergone the more rigorous military training; yet is it right to post women officers in field and low intensity warfare areas. Why dont confine their locations to peaceful areas? Once these officers have proved their mettle, emotional maturity etc after putting in a reasonably length of service, say 10 years or so, then should only be they posted to sensitive areas.
Secondly, it is almost a cruel practice in the army to separate newly weds in the name of duty. According to the whims of Commanding Officers, the young wife is kept at unit location, while the just married young officer is sent up to Observation Posts in high altitudes, which generally means a continuous separation of 6 months! It is also quite common that newly married officers, in case high altitude postings are not available, are sent continuously on outstation duties, or sent on courses where families are not allowed!
This is another side of moral corruption in the Army.
This shows the stress levels our armymen and women are made to undergo . Army needs to analyse these situations and prepare itself for such situations lest they loose their precious resources as not many prefer joining them in present days due to other lucrative jobs on offer . Such instances will demoralize the highly regarded forces of india . Once she was selected ,her abilities cannot be doubted .The question is whether she was being taken care of suitably by the organisation or not . I think dirty politics in our armed forces has taken its toll yet again . I salute the brave girl and hope that she gets justice .
This shows the pathetic condition of our army.. How will a jawan get inspiration to fight against all odds to protect his motherload if his surroundings and his higher officers are a real danger to him/her. This is a disgrace to the whole of the defence force..
dear friends--we must not have concluions immediately after death of any force.there must be other reasons too.every force has to work under a huge ammount of stress---we enjoy our lives sitting in cities/townshipships/waves/ shopping maals with all our family members-SEE when these forces leave stations--no pre arrangements r made and all of them have to beg openly for seats/berths in trains whereas we pay money and get same.so it is not only one reason that the behaviour of seniors only made her to commit suicide.seniors may be wrong but all of them have MORAL VALUES,SELF CONFIDENCE, HUMAN VALUES---so pls take due care while making any unknown offencive remarks--in USA UK or Israel--IF any force is killed in war OR killed by Terrorists--AUTORITIES have to face their NATION--here PM supported by criminals on bail,maoists/naxalites communists, traitor PDP DMK PMK etc. do not face even his WIFE and CHILDREN if they question him on such deaths- JAI HIND--lalitkumar

These defence forces are rotting from inside.Outwardly they may seem discilined and attractive to civilians but when we view from inside there is neither character nor discipline in most of the establishments.
Today the globalisation, the economy boom, hefty pay packets are enjoyed by all civilians at the cost and hard work of we the the defence forces who toil day and night to secure borders, coastal lines etc.Not only civil administeration and civilians of this nation has failed to address floods, earthquakes and child caught in borewells. This speaks volumes about efficiency of cicil administration and civilians attititude to there motherland.Every now and then army navy air force is called.Yes there is tremendous pressure and stress we only know what price we pay at the cost of peanuts salary leaving family and new born child , away on exercises.Only one motivation keeps us alive uniform and nation. You civilians dont even regard our jawans and officers who at one command can give life for you and nation, you regard only money. You people can not even keep your streets , roads clean and talk about defence.Defence is different not like any govt. organisation where you dont work and take salary home shamelessly. We earn every moment of our life and salary at the cost of family life for nation. How many of you are willing to join defence leaving handsome salaries. jaihind

It is worth noting here that because 'civilians' are there that is the reason why the armed forces are there, not the other way round, that is 'because the armed forces are there, the civilians exist!'. As a nation we should work and behave as a team, it is not that 'I do so much and are paid so little .... grumble ....so much stress .... grumble!!'Everyone is working, is under stress, some are paid well, but everyone contributes his/her bit either by taxes or by improving the economic fabric of the nation or any which way. A civilian is under stress of work every day with no facilities like subsidised canteen, medicare etc. My wife works hard 8 hrs a day in a primary school imparting education as best she can to future civilians/force personnel of India at a pittance pay of abt 2500/-per month, is she contribuiting any less than the armed forces for the motherland?? We are working as a team, if someone does not like the pay/facilites of a job, should have thought abt it before,do leave and get better wages and do not criticise others or question their patriotism, there are thousands/lakhs like us who will leave whatever job we have irrespective of pay and join the defence forces or wherever we are required to help the nation in the time of crisis. Otherwise let everyone peacefully do their own stressful jobs. AKC

You probably have no clue of what you are talking - in India we can all talk about human rights / values because our rights are not violated in the first place - unlike Isaraelis we do not have to risk our lives either to - for that we have the huge Voluntary Indian Army at whom we can conveniently take potshots.Keep it up Vijay if not for humans like you we would be a lost nation
Without transparency in investigations the civilian population would never come to know about the actual cause and there is a doubt that even the guilty would be punished. This is in light of the fact of Indian work culture, where office politics is higher in order than efficiency hence in the interest of organization freedom of press should be increased and the armed forces should be allowed to be put under media coverage.

This is why probably "Indian Army" one of the most sought after career options for any Indian, are putting billboards to hunt talent
Immediate action should be taken on this murder/suicide.Inquiries will not do.This is something internal and will have to be taken up seriouly by the GOC Northern Command!
