the activities that u mentioend are not without a good reason....when u r facing death on icy heights where one wrong step can kill u ...you have to show "Godly" trust on the person who is leading and his orders...this cannot be achieved if not practised on simpler things in life ....
punishments are tough!!! so r the conditions ...the worst od Delhi is 5 star treatment for someone who is back from the valley...trust me dude on this !!!!so please do not lose heart...its all fine thee... in a strength of 1.3 million working under tremendous pressure and conditions, one such incident can happen...without for even a moment justifying what has happpened which is v unfortunate.....
Dear Friends, There r some Non-Indians usually Pakis or their supporters pretending to be Hindus/Sikhs/Muslims from India... They post messages which are Anti-Indian, Anti Hindu/Sikh, Cause Caste & religious Hatred among Hindus/Sikhs/Bhudists..
They are always on Indian sites and pretend to be starting up a positive discussion..

Dum is a Paki or supporter..He is a fool with no brains...I do not know why the hell they come to Indian sites...
They r being battered all around the world but still they r same narrow minded...
To say that the military is a male chauvinist bastion would be the ultimate understatement. It's not difficult to see why women and especially women officers are killing themselslves - they are targets of the male dominated hierarchy.

this is the military only the hard, the rough and the tough can live in it. not everyone is cut out for military life let it be male or female or oh well lets not go there.
most of officers in indian army r ill trained, they work in army becoz of unemployment,otherwise noone will take so cheap job.that is why there were around 500 suicides in kashmir by armymen.now some people who pretend to be desh premi will fume at this becoz they dont want any reform in india,otherwise caste imbalance will take,lower castes will take upper hand
May Soul of Captain Megha Razdan reside in peace..A Brave Kashmiri hindu Girl who being a electrical engineer chose to join Army and serve Country... Sucides in army is a problem worldwide..US/UK/Middle east...It is only now due to Media that we hear about these news in India..
Indian Army is still strong and will remain strong..The Issue is that more and more educated engineers need to join it..

Look at this way, the Bristish won the Battle of Plassey by deafeating the Mogul Nawab in 1757. Marathas captured the rest of the India by defeating the Moguls and were at the height of their expanding power in 1760, untill they met Panipat !!! The point is, why is the wrong history being taught and very proudly supported, that BATTLE of PLASEY was the most important Battle, infact it was a battle PURCHASED by MARWARI Business Men, because Siraj had a great taste for women !! please understand there was no religious hatred, thats why even the Chief of Army of Siraj suppored the British !! (read the history in British Archives).
This woman officer never got the support of the Mechanism by her superiors, may be she might have had pressing demands at home and at office (army), she just couldnt disobey because in Army u get court-martialed for that...so whats the option she has, given the fact that she is that WOMAN from INDIA, who gives her EVERYTHING to her FATHER/ HUSBAND !!
So every one will forget this tomorrow, the true picture will never come untill some one else does a sucide and we will be taught a wrong history and the right people will suffer !!!
So far so good, "FUNTIONING ANARCHY", thats what the west calls India !!!

sanjeev, when i say "support mechanism by superiors", it does not mean LEAVE PATTERN, it means COMMUNICATION between people. SUCIDE is the LARGER KILLER than the TERRORISTS themselves, so dont you think its time to retrospect, rather than wait for another PLASSEY !!!

Dear John, If a subordinate commits suicide, his immediate boss should be prosecuted for negligence, and the accused should prove his innocence. If these royals don%u2019t know the basics of HR rules, just because they have cleared Some subjective examinations. Any misuse of office by anybody would accumulate the same being rewarded to their descendants. Since it is an army not the usual civic matters, it is hard to rely on any reports. But, in our "functioning anarchy",(thanks to Sunith) where such sacrifices forced on individuals have been legitimized. I have the first hand experience of this kind of torture, for camouflaging the blunder at the top level, and when you look up for help from the peer, you are shunned for fear of the administrative wrath. To narrate it would be violation of service act, on which account the right to information act looses its end. Every government servant should realize that all the service acts are always next to the fundamental rights of the constitution, for which we are working. Come, whatever may be? My Divine providence has always proved me right.
