Why?
by on Jan 28, 2007 03:43 AM  Permalink

Why do you have to carry all these articles, which dont even make news in the country they occur in (england), but ur happy enuff to pick it up and report it.
It is the same with the Indo US nuke deal. Some sidey idiot says something and u report it when even the US media doesn't report it.
Somewhere u (ur editor) need a liberal nationalistic mindset and pls get rid of the inherent inferiority complexes. sure u have the freedom to retain that complex, but come on , have some dignity and get some self confidence. If the Supreme court has convicted him , after due process and appeals, then why are u guys bothered, so bothered that u carry any non-news comments and even put it up on ur main news section. Not good. grow up!

Afzal got fair trial in congress rule atleast for vote bank politics
by sridhar gorantla on Jan 28, 2007 02:17 AM  Permalink

Those who are saying this guys punishment is not a fair one are not speaking without any sense. Just think about it. It is the congress government in the Center that rules the world. Rest assured, congress will definitely strive for having fair trial for this guy since it doesnot want its vote bank of muslims to go away fro it. Inspite of having congress govt. at center, if this guy is handed over punishment, then this I gues, is the best fair trial he could have gotten. Any doubts about this? It is funny why some muslims are so partial to their people that they onot even care for others. Ofcourse, irrespective of how some people believe or behave, the nature that is the sole keeper of the universal laws cannot be escaped. The nature gives back the punishment even if one escapes the laws of the society and the natures punishment cannot be escaped. Had it not been this natures laws, why would people get grave problems where they donot even get to eat soemthing or live safely or peacefully. It is the universal laws of the nature that no one, irrespective of what their religious beliefs are, can escape.

Think of human rights violaters who used Islam to commit grave crimes
by sridhar gorantla on Jan 28, 2007 02:05 AM  Permalink

Who are going to punish these cruel human right violaters who committed grave crimes in India int he name of Islam and became cause for getting Vast India divided in to Pakistan & Bangladesh. Is the Indian supreme court more cruel than these Islamic maniacs? Can any one answer to these questions? I guess, what bush is doing in Iraq or in Afghanistan makes sense, cause if you have to deal with these maniacs, you have to deal with these like the way bush is doing. Otherwise, they think the non followers of Islam as inferior and commit even more crimes int he name of islam.

Well, looks like rediff is taking sides too.
Firstly it gave weight to this idiotic non news item and next it disabled 'Report abuse' to this silly perverted piece of post.
Anyway, because of perverts like this and also those idiotic British MPs and their ilk (who are abound in India esp in the media), we have trouble brewing.
Muslims have come out with a fatwa for this and that, but none have condemned Afzal or have given a fatwa in his name.
Surprising?

Now England throws its hat in
by dr munish raizada on Jan 28, 2007 12:59 AM  Permalink

The question is: why Afzal is still alive? Why his mercy plea is still pending? This is creating a situation where Tom, Dick and Harry start throwing their hats in for their vested interests. Why British MPS are making grunts and noises when verdict in Afzal's case has been given by none other than Supreme Court of India!

If criminals would not be convicted, then according to these handful of idiot britisher..innocents should be convicted.
Just to gather sympathy of pakistanis and terrorists for britain they are here with them. What they think of India? Dharamsala? These countries are responsible for terrorism basically, they groomed on the arms business with all world for their bank balance and one side they preach. They really need to be severly bombed again to understand terrorism..i think they have forgotten very fast.

Confused...
by Governor General on Jan 27, 2007 11:47 PM  Permalink

Who are exactly these people that want a convicted terrorist to be released?
Are they questioning the fairness of the supreme court of India?
Just because Afzal is a Kashmiri does that mean that Kashmiris in England will voice support for him irrespective of his brutality?
Do these people have even a semblance of humanity and fairness in their mind?
