To answer this question we must first understand why the need for the reservations has arisen. The cause for the various types of disabilities that the underprivileged castes in India face / have faced, is the systemic historical subjugation of a massive magnitude based on caste system having a religious sanction. Therefore if the caste system was the prime cause of all the disabilities, injustice and inequalities that the Dalit-Bahujans suffered, then to overcome these disabilities the solution has to be designed on basis of caste only.
Give us an equal oppurtunity to serve efficiently first of all reservations are there to hell lot of categories its nothing happening particularly in govt sector because everybody are from reserved category anything is working out? till now the happenning is only punch(attendence)and lunch in govt sectors. Don't drag this to the private sectors or in IIT's/IIM's if we drag this no where we can stand/play as a global leaders Nobody will come to invest in india particularly everybody knows that "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER" we should make use of it rather than resrvation power. Now atleast we should wake up.
Reservation is not an end in itself. It is a means to an end. The main aim is to achieve the active participation and sharing by the "socially excluded" humanity in all the fields of the affairs of the society. It is not panacea for all ills, neither it is permanent. It would be a temporary measure till such time the matrimonial advertisements in newspaper columns continue to contain the mention of caste.
There are apprehensions that reservations will lead to the divisions in the society. These apprehensions are totally irrational. The society is already divided into different castes. On the contrary reservations will help in annihilating the caste system. There are around 5000 castes among the SC/ST and OBCs. By grouping these various castes under 3 broad categories of SC, ST and OBC, the differences among 5000 separate castes can be abridged. This is a best way of annihilation of castes. Therefore rather than making rhetoric about reservations leading to divisions in the society the anti-reservationists should make honest and sincere efforts to annihilate castes. Have these people made any efforts towards this direction? In most of the cases the answer is NO. The people making these anti-reservations rhetoric, all this time have been enjoying all the privileges that the Indian caste system offers to the %u201CPrivileged Castes%u201D. As long as they enjoy the privileges of the caste system they do not have any qualms regarding it. But when it comes to making castes as basis for achieving social equality by providing representations these same people make noises. These are the double standards of highest order practiced by the %u2018privileged%u2019 people.

One side you speak about equality and another side you promote reservation by this nothing but you are promoting caste system, which we want to forget and leave in the past. Caste system is a disease and promoting reservation based on caste will welcome caste system which will our society sick. If several castes are backward and are not able to make any progress in past, give them basic education and let them compete for higher studies like everybody else is doing.

Isn't that the intention of reservation, to create divisions.
The answer to this question lies with the anti-reservationists. It depends on how sincerely and effectively the policy makers which constitute %u201Cprivileged castes%u201D people in executive, judiciary and legislature, implement the reservations policy. Is it just on part of %u201Cprivileged castes%u201D people who have enjoyed undeclared exclusive reservations for past 3000 years and continue to enjoy the same even in 21st century in all religious institutions and places of worship, to ask for the timelines for reservations policy? Why do not they ask, how long the exclusive reservations for particular community in the religious institutions and places of worship are going to continue?
The people who have acquired disabilities due to inhuman subjugation for 3000 years will need substantial time to come over those disabilities. 50 years of affirmative action is nothing as compared to 3000 years of subjugation.

This person says it well, Reservation is a means to hound the hindus, the british targetted the Brahmins, these idiots want to target the hindu religious institutions, they take away all, but Jehadis( christian veriety) have an equivalent statement of Palestein, like the Israel shouldn't exist.
Once returning from London on an Air India flight my co-passenger who was birtish and was coming to India was extremely sceptical after reading an article in one of the Indian magazine. He asked me what are the chances that pilot who is flying the aircraft is from reserved category and not a deserving candidate. I told him about 27 %. Than he told me he was coming to India to do a by - pass procedure done as waiting time in Briton was far too long. He further asked me what would be the chances that the doctor performing the operation on him would be from a reserved category., I told him 27 % Chances he would have got admitted from a reserved category. He Scratched his head did some calculations. And told me I think I have only 46% chances of survival. !!!

guess with this introduction of newer quota, the chances of survival reduces even further...
After freedom higher castes become third class citizen in India. This is is the time higher castes sholud be organising and fighting for new nation for higher castes. India should divide again for higher castes.
What does equal oppertunity mean? Will there never be a level playing field for all indians irrespective of the family one is born in? It is now time to fight for equality, and discremination against cast and relegion. If we let accept injustice, it is ones own fault. We have enough of talk, we need to send a unambugus message that 'Equal Oppertunity Means EQUAL OPPERTUNITY.'
it is very clear from the statistics that inspite of 60 years of independene we have failed in implementation of reservation policy due to vested interests of few leaders. Now the question is sall we continue or abolish the policy thought of by the makers of the nation or the father of the nation and so on.Our fore fathers thought very honestly that the poor of the poors who suffered as slaves for various reasons shall also be taken care. Now in the age of technology and civilisation we discuss statistics or creamy layers and so on. in the process, we are forgetting the past sufferings of these poor brothrs of ours.If any rich we make a slave for even 2 years iam sure his future generations will have the same fate what these sufferes faced for 100 of years.let us give them their due and have a soft corner for these poors regards

I would like to know the percentage of OBC employees in SUN net work owned by rich OBC leader and also the percentage of Muslims employed in WIPRO group. The OBC and Minorities (With due apologies to Premji) can employ 100% of their community people as they are in private sector. They think that employing the same caste is burden to them, but they want it to be carried by the Nation.
