As much as I may not like Gen Musharraf, relocation of troops in certain areas is actually beneficial to India. Don't get me wrong, we need to man our borders stronger than ever before and therefore no reductions should be made at all on LOC including Siachen. But reduction of troops in cities like Jammu and Srinagar is actually in India's interest. The patroling and fight against insurgents should be done by Kashmiri police and not the military. This way, a mom or a dad walking down the street will feel lot more free and relaxed in seeing their own son patrolling than seeing some stranger from Delhi or Madras patrolling their streets. In order to achieve this, there needs to be an increase in recruitment of Kashmiri police and better training and equipment need to be provided to them. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/6262743.stm
What about relocation of terrorists? They ought to be handed over to India for trial. Maybe a suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty could help achieve this. This treaty seems unnecessary for India since we are upstream of Pakistan. Please write about this.

Mr Charkravarthi
Mushi and decorated cronies is hardly capable of moving them from the parks around his house anr parliaments and avoid being shot at. Do you think they can move the terrorists out of Kashmir ? They have proved that the only lift their fingers and use their American supplied hell fire missiles and helicopter only for their own interests. And only in selective places like Balochistan far away from punjab. Otherwise they are happy claiming all the American hits as theirs and give speaches and TV interviews Islamabad and New York. There is no real solution to this problem unless something drastic could be done. Short of that only solution is to wash our hands on Kashmir and forget about the lives sacrified there.
