This is a article of nostalgia by the the great admiral. It he reads the heaading and the content he feels sorry for giving this interview. They must be sent to primary school where precise-writing is taught. It they doesn't know how to coin the name for an article GOD save them.

who is this chap Admiral Nanda. Does anybody khow his credentials. How much did the Navy pay him that he could purchase a palatial house in Lutyens Delhi; at the same time a poor Jawan's family is struggling to survive.
I can sight many an examples of honest ex-army and Navy officials who retired from senior posts, for example AVSM SAK Durrani retired from Air Force in 1981 and headed Asian Games Protocol as Director. He was also the Manager of Indian Cricket Team during 1981-82 Australian Tour. He lives in Lucknow, a moderate life, involves in Veteran Cricket and keeps himself busy.
Some people write books to become famous and tell the entire world that there was no existance of Indian Navy before 1971.

Being rich is not a crime. Those who do not honour war heroes are not true patriots.Mr. SAK Durrani also deserves respect but not more respect just because he has less money.
By the way Admiral Nanda became a businessman afterwards.
I think you don't like him because you are a Muslim and can't honor a person who defeated Pakistan.
What the heck is this?? What did you mean by the headline?? You are nuts or just money-hungry!!!
Stop doing this or no body will visit your website!!! Earlier, most of your stuff related to religion, one way or the other, making people dump all the poison and filth they have in their hearts, onto this message board!!! And now its war!!!

Anil.. I feel sorry for people like you, who have been infected by a disease of "suspecting every muslim".. I cant even imagine that someone can take this simple message of mine so out of context... THATS CRAZY MAN!!! Anyway, I... or for that matter, no muslim cares if you trust us or not!! India is our country (both of Hindus and Muslims) and if the country won a war, "we" won that war, not any one community!!! And we will always celebrate and relish great occasions like these (being victorious against an oppressing enemy - in this case, it was Pakistan)..
Its only bcoz of people like you, that some Muslims feel insecure in the company of Hindus.. thats bcoz we dont know what this Hindu brain is thinking about us!!! Something like "DOES HE TRUST ME.. OR DOES HE SUSPECT ON ME OR EVEN HATE ME!!!"..
I dont mean to offend other fair-minded Hindu brothers, but my message is ONLY meant for people who suspect Muslims...
PLEASE GUYS, LIVE HAPPILY AMONG YOURSELVES WITH A FREINDLY ENVIRONMENT... IF NOT FOR ANYTHING, THEN FOR OUR GLORIOUS NATION!!!
I am a proud Muslim and I am even more prouder that I am an "Indian Muslim"...

I agree with Meraj Ahmed. People like Anil, who see everything with a jaundiced eye, are the reason we have so much trouble in our country. Meraj's original point about the title of the article was right. Samir Ranjan

The heading is irrelevant to the article and it's projection. It is a kind of cheap by creating aritificial interest for a topic, by rediff, and is seeing an increasing trend over the years. The other method is Q&A topics being displayed as articles. A trend showing clearly that rediff is increasingly lacking content, imagination and thus missing your readers.

I agree. Rediff seems to have fired their editor. I have reported quite a few heading-article mismatch. But, if they - REDIFF - think it is a match, what can we do? - other than boycott rediff entirely? -Giri.

i thought that something great is there inside.but what is this.plzzzz REDIFF stop this nonsense.give a heading as per the content inside.i think Rediff will think about it.not only about this article.most of the day you people are just trying to attract people to read the article.but after reading nobody gets any similarity between heading and information (that means we cant call the content as information ;we can call it as data). think about it. by susanta s.
is rediff nuts.....Y does US want war with INDIA ...when it has outsourced all most all its s/w work to INDIA??when US knows INDIA also has NUKE weapons??when major automobile and semiconductor corporations has invested hugely in INDIA...
there is really no point that rediff should even put this on its link.....
I think rediff is completely commercially oriented with little or no respect for morals. Look at the headline at the main page and then look at the article. U just want ppl to come to ur site and get more advertisements and make more money. U just cant get any greedier than this!!!
