Since when pakistan became democratic
by on Jan 18, 2007 06:02 PM  Permalink

you call an election a 'Election' if there is a contest. If a person takes over the country and announces himself as the president and wins a election with no contest, its called dictatorship. Musharaff is by no means a people leader. He has made enough mockery of democracy. Its unfortunate that the so called super powers turned a blind eye towards his regime.

His Re-election.
by Vijay Sankaranarayanan on Jan 18, 2007 04:03 PM  Permalink

Well, it is pretty clear that Musharraf is headed the zia way! He will never relinquish power of the Uniform, nor the power of the presidency... I am sure if he sees the boat rocking too much domestically this year, he will plan another Kargil, to get the focus away from him! Its a year that we Indians need to beware...
