Water being an universal solvent has the potential to carry several soluble and beneficial plant and animal products in a river course due to which it could clean up the skin but not the sins committed by people.The fanatics and fundamentalists need to be enlightened about the fact that 'Cleanliness is Godliness'.
The biggest problem faced by most of the heritage cities is a regular arrival of people in lacs every time.This create not only huge problem of maintaining law & order but also adds to the already existing filth that is added to our holy rivers.The govt regardless of relegion should permit only token participation & no statue be permitted for submersion in Sea or rivers on any occasion.
