Human rights Mayhem
by pradeep dennison on Jan 16, 2007 10:39 AM  Permalink

My opinion is under Saddam there was no Al Qaida or religious strife and definitely Iraqis were better off under him. Historically its seen that Kurds,Chechens, Albanians are war mongering people and big time trouble makers. Some times inevitably governments have to use excess force to keep things in check. If we would have used an abnormally excessive force in POK we would have solved our problems of terrorism long back.Sme times hard heartless force is required to protect us.No Kashmiri Hindu would have to be displaced. But here when our ex PM was showering niceties on Pak PM they were already occupying our territory.Saddam was the leader of Iraq and should have been tried in an International Court.Sadly for all the mistakes the politicians make the American public is paying the price.More than half the world they are not welcome.

I think he is right!
by Mayya Suresh on Jan 16, 2007 10:33 AM  Permalink

India has been summarily silenced by this N-deal with invisible thread. Even otherwise, Indians are proven cowards when it comes to reacting to international events. Justice is difficult to met out to likes of Saddam (Milosevic died a natural death under detention in The Hague). However, difficult it is, it is worth it, since that gives legitimacy to otherwise illegal occupation of Iraq by US, which has made a case against Saddam. Least US could do, was to preach what it professes. If the number of deaths that counts for his hanging, then Mr.Praful is right in asking the same justice for the victors since a lot of those deaths were caused by chemical weapon toys supplied by US et al. In order to supress their complicity they decided to use 148 as unlucky number for Saddam. What is left or right about that argument? Unlike US, all its western allies deplored the hurried hanging of a despot in Saddam. And believe me, they are no communists. Iraq is mission accomplished and now US is smelling blood in Iran. And those of you, who are indirectly support US., please.... we want to learn from History, that's why US should be criticized so that they won't commit the same in future (say Iran).

Take it easy
by Sushim Roy on Jan 16, 2007 10:28 AM  Permalink

Take it easy .....it was really a bad incident that a man going to be hanged was taunted....it could have been done in a more professional way and dignified too. But.....he was to be hanged...man...might is right.....the old adage is evergreen. If you have power, you can hang Bush for anything you want....until then....take care that you don't incur the wrath cause Indian government won't save you then. Trust me.

The comments on this regard are .....

Critics are all depending on person's individual view. But Praful has made wonderful effort. Thank you once again. Never Give up. Even Tolstoy and Aristotal has faced the same. I was in Iraq for 120 days when war. I found a lot of heart and hell. No body can ignore that if you know Iraq you know it for Suddam Husein. He placed his country in a position in todays world.
It is not about left and right activity.Truth needs no evidence. For all of you who are opposing Praful, please go to Iraq and ask people. What you see is not the reality.

Thanks

Dare to write about Commie crimes, Mr Red?

Right, the US are evil. And leaders like Stalin and Mao are great haloed statesmen, right? Care to tell us about how many millions they killed? Frigging commies are the worst of all.
