Best Solution
by Dipak Bose on May 23, 2007 10:23 AM  Permalink

The best solution is to have exchange of population between India and Pakistan ( and Bangladesh). Muslims should go there, all remaining non-Muslims should come to India. The orginal J&K ( including Axad Kashmir and Northern Area) should be partitioned; Muslim areas would go to Pakistan and the rests would stay in India.
That should have happened in 1947.

india not ready to joint management
by Saraaf Khaiyoom Farhan on Jan 16, 2007 08:14 PM  Permalink

if the aim is peace in kashmir, then our politicians should look forward for all kinds of methods, routes infact they should propose new ways to tackle problems. rather than, not agreeing to joint management, our government should agree to joint management and from there look for ways and methods to increase peace and stability in the region. the politicians from both the sides should also stop blaming each other in order to find peace, they should downplay the burning issues like terrorism, give administrative support to kashmiris, give employment to their youth, education to their children, social upliftment through various schemes, introduce plans, methods to increase the kashmiri's economic well being. they should come forward for the ultimate goal of peace.

Joint Management of J & K
by Rajagopal Harihara on Jan 12, 2007 07:05 AM  Permalink

Will Pakistan allow India to jointly manage the POK to see how it works?
The General thinks that Indians are fools. In fact our leaders are to some extent. Otherwise they would not be talking to the usurpers for nearly four decades while thousnads of Hindus and Jawans are killed by the Jihadis and their helpers in Kashmir
Gen Musharraf is trying all methods to get into Kashmir, as he says 'Kashmir is his Breath'.
The fact is, if Kashmir problem is solved then the Military Dictator has reason to be in power in Pakistan.

Fanatic Nationalism
by Akhilesh R on Jan 12, 2007 06:00 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The other messages in this message board show a sort of a disgusting fanatic nationalism that one asscociates only with the USA.

The sooner we get rid of the concept of "nationality", the better. This idea of "national seperation" will kill us all one day.

Religion, as a distinction among people was way better. At least religions had an ethical basis. But nations: no! The concept of nationality is just one of selfishness and narrow mindedness. We're all humans, and therefore equal. The concept of nationality is ridiculously redundant.

Look at us. Indians and Pakistanis. People who are identical in every respect (enthincally)- and we hate each other! India and Pakistan should be together fighting the real enemy: extreme poverty.

So what do u say Akhilesh? We succede what all territories Pakistan asks for and do what it says?As u said the real enemy is poverty. But u have to realise that its the Pakistanis who r fanatical and not Indians. If u think fighting for motherland is fanatic, the we r all better off being branded as fanatics.

Joint Management of J&K
by sandeep bartakke on Jan 12, 2007 04:47 AM  Permalink

Impossible!!!
Its just not possible to rule a troubled territory by 2 nations that have been enemies since ages.
India has to only try and help Kashmir to integrate with rest of India. Make structural and technological developments, create job, trade & tourism opportunities fast enough that Pak-sponsored militants won't time to blink.

Demonstrate control over J &K
by Ashish Gohri on Jan 12, 2007 03:54 AM  Permalink

We must demonstrate our control over J &K. We must treat it like any other Indian state and we should NOT talk to pakistan about it. If we cant fight for it, then we'll simply loose it !

Work together
by prashant kajvey on Jan 11, 2007 06:05 PM  Permalink

India and Pakistan both are keen for Kashmir, But I think its lack of Indian govt. policies and they let Pakistan grow inside Kashmir. Otherwise we all know before Pakistan Interference Kashmir was like a heaven and people loved to go there.
In present scenario, no solution on Kashmir could be achieved until both the countries extend their trade and other development oriented ways to increase trust for each other.

Indo Pak Relations
by Ravindra Dixit on Jan 11, 2007 05:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We cannot have any trust in Pakistan. They have time and again taken advantage of our gullibility and India has forever been a loser in all bargains with that country. There is no need to bend over backwards in any dealings with them.

I completely agree with mr Dixit. & why should we adjust after knowing that all the time what Pakistan has done is just to harm us & insiult us...If our leaders are worth their position they would take advantage of their power & fight for full J & K & not like a coward for partial rights...Cant youll remember what our freedom fighters have done for us

Joint Management of J&K
by Mirgandra agarwal on Jan 11, 2007 04:04 PM  Permalink

Dear Sir

Anything joint is a recipe of deliberate invitations of problems. In case of land it is a source fight. When two countries are involved it is calling for war. Partnership is always source of manipulation
I believe President Mush has a twisted mind as well as intellect. He is a soldier is alright but act as a politician is destruction of politics. His main aim to remain in limelight all the time. He is good maid to USA
