Scientists are the real heroes who make the country proud.Let them get a fair share of name and fame.Media should take more time to showcause their effort instead of running behind the cricketers and filmstars.

Congraats!!!
by abysam varghese on Jan 10, 2007 05:32 PM  Permalink

You all made us proud.. Congraats my countrymen/women.
I've heard from a few of my friends in ISRO that a few tests failed & they were under pressure to pass them to launch C7 on time. It sould be nice if the management doesn't put any pressure on the scientists who work for such mission critical process

Congratulate our scientists.

Its a good job done, and they deserve our congratulations!. However we need to tremendously improve upon the speed, and also completion of projects within deadlines and within the budgets. When developed countries are sending their personnel and vehicles to other Planets, we take pride in having achieved a fraction of those! We take more than a decade to develop a working engine for our advanced combat aircrafts, and we are yet to see the light on this!. For example, by the time we finally develop this, the technology may become obsolete or outdated! Therefore we need to be quick, accountable, in absorbing and delivering hi-tech projects within deadlines & budgets, which will only help this poor/developing country, to save on crores of rupees which we invest every year in importing hi-tech items for our defences, etc.
