Hearty Congratulation to ISRO
by rishi banerji on Jan 10, 2007 07:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

With the successful launch of this mission, India is slowly but very firmly proving that soon in future there will be a space agency alternative to NASA. It is indeed a matter of pride for the whole nation on this occasion, taking into consideration the kind of obstacles the country have to face as compared to western countries.

Ignite the fire
by bennet daniel on Jan 10, 2007 07:25 PM  Permalink

ISRO will sure ignite the same fire that apollo missions did in last 60s. Such a fire will generate a new generation of space scientists and
enthusiasts.

A feat!
by Sridhar P on Jan 10, 2007 07:21 PM  Permalink

It was a real pleasure reading "Wings of Fire" by Dr. APJ Kalam and knowing how "Satish Dhawan Space Center" came into existence. Too good. Continue your good work. APJ was right. To be on Top we need to master technology and tackle poverty at the same time. Being just "good" people is not enough.

I sincerely congratulate your team and Wish you all the best for future launches.

Heartiest Congratulations
by RAGHUNATHAN RAJAN on Jan 10, 2007 07:21 PM  Permalink

Dear Scientists,

First of all my heartiest congratulations for the success to our Scientists. I would like to share the following with our Indians. I used to get many time the mails with subject %u201CProud to be Indian%u201D and the message will contain the information like so many % of Indians are in US working as doctors, engineers, scientists in NASA etc., But there is nothing to be %u201CProud%u201D in that. The people are happy to say that I have sold my self to some other nation and he will tell the people those who are serving / working for the nation to be %u201Cproud%u201D about them. Certainly it is foolishness. Also people use to praise %u201CKalpana Chawla%u201D. To me what is her contribution to India?. Nothing. She worked for the development of US and not for India. I am proud our scientists those contributed to the development of India and now successfully launched the PSLV. Hence pl. avoid circulation of this kind of mails. Thanks.
