For over 4 decades the Indian govt has ignored the regions far from Delhi,especially the NEF provinces. How con you expect them to respect anyone from outstate when they have seen decades of exploitation with state resources like oil & tea being "robbed", revenues going to central govt.and nothing to the people there? What do Indians know of Assam,Meghalaya,Nagaland, Arunachal,Manipur,Mizoram?NOTHING.Are you taught anything at school?NO!So Assamese react to years of indifference & bad governance.Bihar can support the Biharis, only thuggury prevents it.Unfortunately this means foreigners showing sympathy can easily infiltrate and subvert the local politics.Ask who is instigating the unrest in the N.East-China/Japan/West? You are Indian,remember they are Indian too.Respect the Assamese who are a minority in their own state! Maharashtra is more fanatical about outstate residents when the state's revenues come from people of all states.They are bringing wealth non taking it. In the N.E the locals are the poorest. Think about it. Declaring their resentment shameful underlines your ignorance. Corruption and indifference CAN ONLY CAUSE VIOLENCE.
The problem with governance of India is, it is very well knowledgeable in finding solutiions but fails to act due to misplaced sentiments and fear of being unseated from power irrespective of the party(ies) elected to rule.It has the immense potential to contain terrorism national or international. Right now, there is dearth for leaders like Netaji Subhaschandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri to name a few who created a wonderful history for the country.
This is the result of Cong's historic intransigence and shenaigans for purely political expediency - for fear of upsetting their potential vote-banks, they've allowed the ULFAs and others to commit such heinous crimes with complete impunity. Even to this day, this do-nothing, useless Cong govt, run by incompetent, spineless, myopic idiots have no comprehensive policy for dealing with the myriad insurgencies afflicting this backward,balkanized, poverty-stricken land - in fact, it's precisely their communal-centric policies have served to further divide the country, and sow the seeds of such mayhem.
The killing of innocent person in Assam is a matter of great concern of everyone in India. A worker who is a production unit at the lowest level of the chain is not safe then how can the production takes place.
If the engine of the train is rendered reduntant what can you expect from the train? will it carry passengers? Will it be of any help for the commerce or the public welfare activities? The answer is NO.
We must do something to make the mean unit of production safe so that everyone of us can accrue the benefits out of that.
