One may like to ask what would have been his comments to the question, "Is Punjab verdict an affirmation of people's faith in the central govt.?". Would he have said "no?"
If congress would have voted to power, don't you think the central govt would have taken the credit. But when there are debacles, they make the state govt responsible. Ultimately, the likeliness of people towards central govt always get reflected in the state elections.
