how many of you guys writing here vote?
by Sandip on Feb 28, 2007 12:15 PM  Permalink

If not then lets shut up...we have no moral responsibility of criticizing or discussing anything. Wonder why in india the majority if elected by the minority? because its the educated lot that don't vote. but sit and debate on the internet or over a glass of beer in a pub. After that we crib when an idiot like arjun singh screws us by providing more reservations. Why wont he? its these (so called SC/ST parasites) people who go down the streets and vote and keep his seat intact.

You are correct,But the congress's gandhi family think that india is their cow and they can milk everytime. You think when P V Narsimha Rao died in Delhi, The gandhi family did'nt allowed his body to be kept in congress HQ, she asked her fellow christian CM despite christmas to take PVN's body to hyderabad and do his funeral in hyderabad or his village, this is the attitude of the gandhi family towards the fellow congressmen, and i am sure this will also happen to manmohan. Atleast now the congressis shud wake up and take their own intellectual decisions.

Thay shud think of great legacy of congress prior to independence and bring glory to india

Voters Respected Sonia's Opinion
by shawaji bhosale on Feb 28, 2007 05:44 AM  Permalink

Those who are accusing BJP or sad about its victory in recent elections must atleast respect Sonia and her Rajiv Gandhi Foundations conclusions, which is exactly opposite opinions of BJP haters posted here. According to RGF first best governed state govts are all four BJP states. Did people of Uttaranchal and Punjab respected Sonia's opinion by voting out congress?

Did you read this news about state of Gujarat government? What say Sonia Gandhi lead Rajiv Gandhi Foundation? Didnt you read this story in Economic times? Ofcourse our secular media hates to publish such stories even they are originally sensational as Sonia's organizatios praising Modi is unbelieveable. But its simple truth and truth is always bitter for secular people, so they enjoy supressing it. Few papers like Economiic Times published it in back pages somehwre. Read what RGF found after careful study.......

Rajiv Gandhi Foundation finds Gujarat No 1 state
Author:
Publication: The Economic Times
Date: May 20, 2005
The Narendra Modi brand of governance has got an unexpected endorsement. The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, headed by Sonia Gandhi, has adjudged Modi's Gujarat as the Number 1 state in economic freedom index.
A study 'Economic Freedom for States of India' carried out by the Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies, the foundation's think-tank, has come to this conclusion after analysing "economic freedom" in different states of India.
The study has defined economic freedom as "absence of goverment coercion or constraint in the production, distribution or consumption of goods and services beyond the extent necessary for citizens to protect and maintain liberty by itself".
In other words, the foundation does not agree that individual liberty is under threat in Mr Modi's Gujarat.
The study is all praise for Gujarat, as it grades state governments on its political decision-making; the extent to which justice is served; levels of corruption; and the extent of regulation in the labour market.
The study, which has taken into account the size of government, security of property rights and regulation of credit and business has said that Gujarat comes on top. On the size of goverment, Gujarat comes in the first position. For, only a small share of the GSDP is accounted for by government services. Here, the government has a small role as subsidiser. Power subsidies are among the lowest in Gujarat.
In what could be a discomforting finding for the Congress and the Left, the RGF study says: "Safety of life is an essential component (of economic freedom). Gujarat, AP, Tamil Nadu, Haryana and MP have a very small share of the total crimes being accounted for by violent crimes. This share is much higher in J&K, UP, Jharkhand, Bihar and Assam, where murder, rape, kidnapping, abduction, riots, arson and dowry deaths are more rampant".
The findings do not end here. "In Gujarat, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan and MP (all BJP ruled) a large share of the cases that are taken up by the police are ensured complete investigation, unlike in West Bengal, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam".
Also,"in Gujarat, least number of mandays are lost as a result of strikes and lockout as a ratio of total industrial workers in the state".
Gujarat's liberal licence regime has also come for praise in the report. "Constraints on trade imposed by market and license fees were also included in economic freedom. Corruption is also seen to be relatively low in Modi's Gujarat. "In Gujarat, AP, Maharashtra, a smaller share of the total cases resgistered are pending investigation."
"Gujarat, AP, Maharashtra and Haryana exhibited low minimum license fee for traders".
"Corruption is measured in terms of cases pending investigation as a ratio of total cases registered under Prevention of Corruption and related acts. In Gujarat, AP, Maharashtra, a smaller share of the total cases resgistered are pending investigation. The situation, however, is bleak in West Bengal, J&K, HP, Jharkhand and Bihar".

I can very much say the result of elections is a very much a referendum against Centre. Due to its caste based politics, trying to destabilize elected govt like UP, Price rise, soft on terrorims, People have rejected all UPA Govt which was very much shown in current election.

About the PM
by on Feb 27, 2007 11:37 PM  Permalink

I Completely lost faith in him: when he said
"Pakistan is also a victim of terrorism"; I became concerned if someone publicly says so what Intelligence he had to graduate from Top School. By the way I never had faith in him as I
saw he is a puppet of Antonia Maino. This win in Punjab/Uttarkhand is giving me the Ray of Hope that Rahul could'nt become the Next PM.

The reson of congress defeat::1)ARJUN's DIVIDE AND RULE POLICY The inflation hike Antiincombancy factor
by rahul tiwari on Feb 27, 2007 09:38 PM  Permalink

The current result that shows congress failure in recent election is due to 3 big resons-
1)ARJUN's DIVIDE AND RULE POLICY-This most embarassing character who never won a single election at any level of election is the biggest guilty in all this. His Reservation policy's aim is to consolidate the vote bank of SC/St.But He never thinks about people of general category who chances will be killed. Its a cheat. He is a terrible person who does not believe in Constitution.BUT THIS IS ONLY AN AIM TO HIDE THE FAILURE OF CONGRESS PART IN PROVIDING SOCIAL STATUS AND EQUALITY TO SC/ST IN 50 YEARS OF THERE REIGN.BUT I BET-MR. ARJUN WILL NEVER EVER WIN A SINGLE ELECTION.DONT BE IN A MISCONCEPTION MR.SINGH.
2)The inflation hike and increase in rate of accomodities has hit the pocket of comman people,so in return congress has to pay it back in return
3)Antiincombancy factor is another reson :in Punjab and in Uttaranchal the congress could not fill up there promises,as usually no one do,So it happened.
BUT IRONICALLY IN INDIA-PEOPLE LIKE ARJUN GETS GAIN PLAYING DIVIDE AND RULE POLICY..I HOPE BJP AND CO KEEP THEIR PROMISES.UNFORTUNATELY NO PARTY IS PERFECT OR HAVE A PARTIAL GOOD IMAGE.HARD LUCK TO US-THE PEOPLE OF INDIA

Beginning of End of Dynastic Congress and anti-national UPA
by Bhaskar Chattopadhyay on Feb 27, 2007 09:09 PM  Permalink

Cong is beyond any redemption. Its loosing base continuously since post Nehru period. Those who believe a new king "Rahul" can save are living in self-delusion.

Today's India will NOT tolerate any dynastic rule, that 2 of Roman origin:)-

India is rising and so are Indian people/

The more Islamic terrorism, menacing China, Maoist we will face, the more country will drift to the right/

BJP's days haven;t started yet/ A day is coming, if India continuously faces these dangers, BJP will get single majority.

This PM is powerless person
by Bhaskar Chattopadhyay on Feb 27, 2007 09:07 PM  Permalink

There was no mandate for UPA in the first place in last 2004 national election. UPA was a post poll arrangement which faught against each other. Many UPA constituents were part of NDA - like DMK, PMK, Paswan etc.

BJP got just 6 fewer seats than Cong. BJP lost ALL metro seats except 3, because urban people were kind of assured that BJP led NDA was coming back. So, we are not going to make the same mistake again:)-
