People of maharashtra have voted most incimbent govermnet for last 7 years. This government has not done a single mega project in last 7 years, as per his name CM is living with Vilas and Chain.
So dont cry and whine, u have choosed this so just enjoy your dark nights and candle diners.
Chaps, please stop all racial - sectarian or cast based comments..we have some many problems to solve and last thing we want is to fight among ourselves. INFRASTRUCTURE is the biggest problem we are facing ..blaming politicians will not help..we need constructive debates at national level about how to solve power issue. Unless a strong public opinion is not raised , problems will not be solved.
guys what is this going on? where r we leading our city and our country? what is this ghatis, bhaiyyas, madrasis, gujratis?? arent we all indian? so instead of abusing why not come together and think for our better future.. kick on .... of these corrupt politicians.dont give them votes bcoz they r more resonsible for the same. were they sleeping or so much time? were they not awaire of the power crises which we r going to face in future? they are simply fightng for chair..and the condition is more or less same every where in country...so guys think and just kick all the politicians out who r anti INDIANs and lets fight together for our better tommorow.
This says clearly that we need more power projects!!! Let us don't listen those bannerjis, patkars any more. We build whatever required for our progress!!! At the end, we need less power cuts!!!
OUR politicians r making us ready to pay 10 bucks per unit of power frm ENRON (sorry new name somehting like Ratnagiri Power or so) so that they have more money from us, and that too OFFICIALLY.. WHAT a great GAME...
Many Bombay middle class well meaning people try and save electricity so that a poor man in Sholapur has electricity at home. Such foolish thinking that such saving helps anyone is nonsense as it distracts from the fact that we have an incompetent government and electricity board which is putting a break on the economy an growth of a state like Maharashtra. The fact is a city like Mumbai gives 40% of India's taxes and has now started to suffer like others - this will only lead to even worsening of Maharashtra's economy if business and influential people leave the city - Bangalore has power problems but it does not hurt as the climate is good. Maharashtra will not have an economy and nor will it have electricity in the end .

The power problem seems to have started when congress came to power. I am sure there is enough infrastructure to generate and distribute. This is just a political game between sharad pawar, Bal Thackerey and the industrialists like Ambanis. Mumbai will once again have enough power once the public is ready to pay the per unit price they want. For our country to beat India, the common people needs to take matter in their own hands and bypass these horrible politicians. The need is to create mini self-sufficient ecomonies. Adoption of solar power is a basic necessity. Atleast it is better than no power and can be easily deployed throughout the country. Just donot depend on the politicians to solve our problems.

instead of abuses and irrevalent arguements, why dont the people revolt. people make the governments, not the politicians. nobody wins arguements, be constructive and let the politicians face the fury of the down trodden people who are taken for granted.
Since 1978, the Maharashtra Government has shown scant regards towards vital issue of power generation and its distribution, because of following reasons: 1.The incompetent ministrial interference in working of MSEB and increased corruption. 2.The recruitment in MSEB through ministrial recommendation. 3.Insufficient demand made by MSEB to State Govt. These are the main reasons, it was the duty of state govt. to consider the proposal of power generation and works out the anticipated demand. But the state govt. failed in working of MSEB and all the time busy with election and their party position. Moreover the concentration of decision making power in the hand of energy minister, not in case of power but all most all department. Which started corruption by political people. MSEB was not allowing any cogeneration by industry, stating the reasons of their infrastructure investment. Today also the MSEB is not giving permission to cogen. project. If every village of state gets permission of 1 mw, cost 2.5 Crs, by village waste fire thermal power, the state will have surplus power within year.
