Kashmir - A problem
by shibu james on Feb 24, 2007 11:14 AM  Permalink

Countrymen (& women)
Be magnanimous enough to acknowledge that we have a problem in Kashmir. The problem exists because of outside interference & internal ineptitude. To just blame outside interference is to be naive.
We have mishandled the Kashmir situation & alienated the Kashmiris by insensitively dealing with their feelings & aspirations. No reason was big enough to justify alienating our fellow country men. We need to extend unconditional love & respect to our brethren in Kashmir (of course I dont include the cowards who only know to attack innocent civilians).
Kashmiris too need to understand the broader country & its feelings. To act juvenile & be misled by elements like Geelani cannot be called "intelligent". They need to choose between a regressive & talibanized Islamic state and a modern, progressive, secular & resurgent India. Life in Kashmir is much easier & better than in the POK. Standard of living, healthcare, education, employment, womens empowerment you name it and there is no comparison between India & the other choice
We need to have a plebicite in Kashmir. This should include all the pandits who were driven out by fundamentalist jihadis. If Kashmiris choose to be with India we should end the matter there. If they vote to choose the other side, people choosing so, should be escorted with due respect & pride to POK with adequate & further compensation for the migration. The Pandits should be resettled in Kashmir. An Israel style security arrangement should be made available in Kashmir for everyones security.
Pakistan - India is capable enough of handling the nuisance from Pakistan. We need political will. Close the entire border in Kashmir & neighboring Punjab & have patrols at every 2km. Where not possible have 24 hrs helicopter patrols. Shoot@sight in a 100yard buffer zone. Have only 2 points of entry & exit. Its unfortunately the biggest joke of the century - Pakistan is capable of causing problems in India. Come on India can handle Pakistan, we just need to have the will.

Wasted efforts...
by Rangasamy Vijay on Feb 24, 2007 07:16 AM  Permalink

It is better to conduct a plebiscite on both sides of Kashmir which should include all those Hindus also who were driven out of Kashmir by the muslim extremists. If the result is for a separate nation, so be it, we do not waste any more of our resources and preciuos lives due to stupidty of our earlier leaders and cunningness of erstwhile British rulers. People are tired of worthless discussions and constant scheming by Pakis and their extremist associates in India.

Please throw Mr. Geelani in jail

Please throw Mr. Geelani in jail.
I don't know why can't Indian law authority take legal
action against such traitors who lives in India but always talks
against India or about dividing india. If Mr.Geelani had been talking like
this in any other country then he would have been thrown in jail for his life.
But he should be thankful God because in India he say anything or do
anything but nothing will happen to him that's because of these bloody politicians.
Mr. Geelani can see few fake encounters but he can not see thousands of people
getting killed because of these bloody terrorists, he can not see sufferings
of kashmiri pandits who have been forced out of their own motherland by these
terrorists. I am not supporting fake encounters here but at least Indian
government has booked all those who are involved in the fake encounters and
taking action against them. But can any one recall when Mr. Geelani or
any separatist leader has ever sought punishment for any terrorist who
keeps on killing innocents.

Well said Mr. Razzaq Ahmed, Pakistan government should stop interfering
in kashmir. Mr. Kasuri's own country is on verge of collapse because of
internal civil war and sectarian violence, but he seems least bothered about that
and more concerned about kashmir.

well said animesh.

these separatists...forget that they exist because India tolerates them.

we do not poison them polonium 210.
we do not imprison and kill them in cold blood as chineese and russians do.
we do not laucnh rocket launchers on their homes as was done to Nawab Bugti of balochistan.

we have a bigger heart....and these traitors fail to acknowledge our love and tolerance for them. By allahs will, they will burn in hell.

jahannum naseeb hongi inko..

I completely agree with Ani . Such traitors should also be killed in fake encounters , because if they hanged publicly they will become Heros ( Shahid ) for all traitors.
& Politicains ( whether Congress - PDP or BJP - National Confrenece ) will not allow Autorities to take Legal action against such people, because of Vote bank politics.

Such people are spreading Poison in Kashmir. If he's so interested in Kashmir to be a part of Pakistan , he should move to PoK ( till time Pakistan is Integrated ).
