Its such a tragic incident involving little school children.A fun frilled has unfortunately turned into disaster. Am sure those boatmen must have overloaded the boat with kids. Depressing it is to hear such things involving poor souls.

Boat Tragedy
by Viswanathan Chandrasekar on Feb 21, 2007 03:17 AM  Permalink

Very much distressing to learn that kids who were water borne went into a watery grave! Alas! one or two acts of stringency by Govt. and all will subside in no time. The pity is we never learn from mishaps either...

Who cares this kind of tragedy? it will happen again and again in this biggest democrsy in the world..with the so called government with ministers looking to amass as much as wealth for the next four or five generations.. the politicians fighting out to snap up the biggest bone available.. or the concrned beaurocrats who sleep on the bundles of files in their office..or the brainless common man who vote them to power to get trampled by the same people..or the media who go to any extent to 'break the news' on colour of the underwear a film actress is wearing...whom to blame? anyway some inncoent blemishless souls departed causing irreparable loss for their kith and kin..my heartfelt condolnce to them. may god give them the strength to endure this tragedy.
