it seems that views of Mr. Narayanan on security issue are too mild or too shallow. He is a national security advisor and should talk about very firm points, firm decisions govt is taking (took), strict and direct words to express himself (he seems like a politician, who plays with the words, dimplomatically). Mr. Narayanan, give India, her dignity back and take proper actions and then tell common people about what to do and what not..!! Incidents like bomb blasts at common places (samjauta express, delhi market, mumbai bus/markets) can be avoided but with the help of system and not only by common people.. Come on GIVE SOME STRONG REACTION TO ACTION..Just dont say, that about terrorism, India is saying about long.. no one hears India.. Remember.. This is fact and we all know.. Dont just say we are saying and now world is listening..World has akd just because they felt it so.. and not because we were saying.. Stop fooling around.
Please give advise to govt and not to us. We are at receiving end anyway. Tell us honestly does this govt act a inch-bit on your advises? Does govt possess honesty to tackle terrorism? Please advise them to shed hypocritic appeasement policy and act. Afzal should be hanging by now rather decision over Afzal is hanging.

Any belief system can be interpreted in a fascist way. Many Muslims believe that violence is against Islam. Many Hindus believe that violence is justified against invaders. Rwanda was a genocide carried about by Christians upon one another. This demonstrates clearly that the problem is not with any particular religion, but with society. Any religion can be _interpreted_ in a bigoted and absolutist way by PEOPLE.
Not the time to fight internally now. We dont have time. Terrorism is rapidly inceasing in INDIA. The congress is a hijra...we have seen it for 60 years.
We need a dictator...yes we need it to happen for the better of the country for the time being. Bring the presidents rule.
Mr Kalam, I beleive u being a SAI Devotee would be able to save the country.
The whole world is beleiving that islaam has been bent on destroying humanity. Not all are bad, there are some great human beings too..but they all need to stand and side Allahs real teachings..Love All and war within for injustice.
We need the real Jihadis - Allahs men who will fight for humanities good cause. And luckily we have some real musalmans in INDIA.
I beleive its happening exactly as written in Bhagwad or Bible. The Golden era is returning and mankind is on the verge of deciding its fate wheteher to live with demons or pre-exist.

I've read the Quran...I've read the Urdu quran and the english translation. I have to tell that whatever "lax" has written is correct and there is no blasphemy in whatever he said.
I feel the Quran is a master-piece. In other words, its a beautiful work of mass-hypnotism. Shaik, i dunno if u have watched the movie Matrix...Islam is something like that. The people inside the Matrix dunno that they are in a computer program. They dunno that they are being controlled by a computer program called "Matrix".
The Quran is such a great Computer Program. Once, a person is into it...and believes it...It doesnt allow the person to come out of it and doesnt allow the person to think rationally. And the person who has written should be an extremely clever person and ofcourse a psychopath.

Simly Excellent, real and unbiased. The Islamic terroism is spreading only because they are getting overwhelming support. It is true that all are not terrorist, but few are providing sheltor, few are providing logistics, mjority are morally supporting, rests are not raising any objection openly and not supporting to others, who are not terrorists (irrespective of religion), which has made the entire community vulnerable.

In fact India's steps towards communal harmony and national integrity has been happening for quiet a long tim. But still we were not able to achieve this fully. One of the main reasons for this is Politicians still trying to live on vote bank politics and not expressing their true views in public Educuatin and awarness is not given fully to all people. It is the education and awarness that will make people think beyond religion and caste barriers. The state governments should be more open in implementing things. Both state and central givernments should start creating more options ,Industries,job openings which will make people thrive/look for money and forget about the rest. When you see in reality,people who involve themselves in terrorism/suiceide attacks are those who are either not well educated or economically poor. As specified in the article,it is not the muslim community alone that has the problem,every one has. Population control is one of the main thing we should work on and arrest. After 60 years of independence still many states are under developed. We should be come a coroprate society.The more opportunities we have we will prosper better. It is up to the government both at central and state to decide and work accordingly. Lets all think a single word India .Hindu/Muslim cultures we practice at home and when it comes to national interest lets see our Country and work for the development of the same.

Absolutely. Our national policy right from the begining has been to devide everyone in to as many parts as possible and creat vote banks. Our disgusting politicans learnt this from british and keep pouring oil to the fire. And we ourselves keep our eyes shut and spread our hands to get any benifits leaking out of the situation. Shame on all of us. Diversity is becomming a bane for us and we are departing away from each other faster and faster. May be education can only change the things.
I was reading some scholarly articles on the Muslims in India and history clearly shows that 99% of the Muslims in India have been converted from Hindus. There is nothing wrong in admitting this fact. Once you admit this fact, perhaps there will be more understanding between the religions. These Muslims converted mostly out of fear and persecution. So okay. They do not have to think that Hindus are their enemies. Their enemies were those who forced them at one stage. As India is still secular, they have every choice over religion but must learn to tolerate and respect other religions and not indulge in bombings and all.

Leela, you are very right. In fact, people of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh were Hindus and Buddhists too and were mostly converted between 10th and 13th century.
The sad fact is that inspite of knowing that their forefathers were converted by force (a few by murder and rape and most by imposing unbearable taxes called Jazia), very few Muslims show the courage to oppose Islam.
Some brave individuals like Anwar Sheikh (later Aniruddha Gyan Shikha), Tasleema Nasreen, Shaharyar Kabir etc have come out of Islam.
We should help our Muslim brothers/sisters who have the courage to reject this enslaving and hateful religion as much as possible and help them assimilate back into Hinduism.
Hindus who really support peace and secularism should think about this.

Absolutely right. Encourage 'shudhi' and ghar vaapsi (return home). The muslims of India are not decendants of Muguls, they were Hindus. The Hindu saints should take the initiative. I have nothing against Islam and all religions are good, but know one thing, India will be better with such 'reconversions'. India has suffered because of Islamic invaders and thus lost the territories also ( Pakistan, Bangladesh).

"ghar vaapsi" - so should the UK and the USA also apply this principle and send all the desis back to India? In the west, "ghar vaapsi" is called racism. The concept of a "nation state" which you are buying into was a colonial invention. Talk of "losing territories" is pure colonialism - India was *never* a nation state (politically united territory) before colonialism. This colonial concept is the cause of the problem. There will never be such a thing as a shuddh / pure society - others have tried it before (Hitler, Rwanda) - it is called "genocide".
