by Srinivas eaga on Feb 20, 2007 02:16 PM  Permalink

hmm..it is very disappointing to see poor our security adviser interview. He lost his way and strategy...with this kind of people India can never guarantee security to innocent people.

he says it is phenomenon may be he is liking this phenomenon...need courages actions like US to curb Terrorism from roots...these politicians are just saving there...they are there for them selfs not for us Indians....First we need Reforms in our people mindsets then in our politicians and then in our government policies then only you are deserve to think about economic reforms...i dont think we can be super power by 2020 with Gandhian principle with terrorists....Open up Look with big picture...even bhagath geetha says Dermo rakistha rakshitha ha...u can go for war and kill your loved ones if you feel that actions brings darmam(justice and piece)

Terror and Indians
by SREENATH KAKADASAM on Feb 20, 2007 12:34 PM  Permalink

Mr. Narayanan as the Chief has his own saying about the terrorism. What is important is that Muslims living in India are also Indians. They do not belong to another country. But we have many non Indian Muslims from across the borders who have been able to penetrate into the cities and subburbs and have used the unemployed youths and vagabonds to help them in terror acts to disrupt peace. Mr Narayanan instead of sitting at Delhi and giving out statements, could form a team of dedicated officers and make them responsible for preventing terrorism and give them power to liquidate the terriorists who ever they may be. Please do not catch them, put them in Jail and go to court to prove their acts. After that go to President for pardon, etc., No use, there is no time. Please take immediate action. A terriorist does not need a court hearing or a judge's hearing..

K.R. Sreenath.

what security measures can be taken to control such evidences...
by Shivanand Mali on Feb 20, 2007 12:32 PM  Permalink

next few lines I%u2019m going to write about few things what railway should taken...
consider the %u201CGrodra train%u201D fire or %u201Csamzota express%u201D case.. the railway is put on fire .. and know one know till utilll all passengers get burnt..
any express train more than thousand passengers travels... and for such a big train there is not a small control room to monitor what%u2019s going in all the compartments?? can't it be monitored my using CCD... and vary activity monitored in control room near to engine room.. so that whatever happens in compartment.. Control room persons will be aware of it..... another problem is that especially in such cases railway doors are always looked so that any passenger want to move the are not able to open the door... nor due to fire they are able to see emergency pull chains.... using fire sensors fire alarm can be set so that diver can stop the train immediately... these are very mall technologies, cost very less as well and when we are living in high-tech world and being in a leading nation IN IT can't we use these technologies for human security?? Railway authorities should consider such preautionary measures....
Hope this message will reach railways authority...

Its a common man who always gets affected, Govt has to just make promises
by anuj Kumar Rathi on Feb 20, 2007 12:19 PM  Permalink

Its a known fact that ultimate suffer of these tragedies are common man, for whom neither Indian nor Pakistani Goverment is concerned. Their bigwis just want to sit in AC rooms and make big statements on papers. None of the goverment dare to even take a single effective long term measure or precaution but can always bake political cookies on the bodies on innocent people. At last, what can you expect from class of political leader who are holding the official chairs, who do not have the will power to think seriously on these burning issues rather focussed on saving their cushion.

really fail to understand why tax payers money is spent on arrests, trials and then feeding them in jail. These terrorist in jails are threat to our national security as well. Some terrorist organisation will want them in exchange for innocents.

If confirmed that a person is a terrorists then take them to a jungle and a single bullet through the head will be enough. Burn their body as well there itself.

As it is terrorist are not humans; therefore they have no right. Not even animal rights.

Truely said.
All terorists caught must be killed on the spot-
They should not be jailed so that we again waste our money to feed these animals.
Also the so called Human rights Organisations should not get a chance to take up their case and try to get sympathisers for these criminals.
Hi by the way where is Krishna Iyer nowadays,
I had a good image about him, but since when he caught up with human rights associations, i lost it...Now arundhathi Roy is on his foot steps for Afsal Guru.Hi what happend to his plea to Kalam? Kalam still can not see thru his hairs as Thakeray said?

Disgruntled people ??
by Sandip on Feb 20, 2007 11:40 AM  Permalink

Why do we need to continue with the train, bus etc as confidence building measures (CBMs). If the intent is not there between the two Govts to handshake, how can the people to people contact work? History shows us that this is a completely failed solution. Whether the 2 World wars or the cold war or the Sino-india war or Indo-pak ones. Forgot Hindi-Chini Bhai Bhai??
These CBMs will only help people to exchange terrorism and nothing else. These cross border tourism will not work unless there is an intent of peace (unconditional). Pak openly proclaims that there cannot be peace unless Kashmir is solved...how can you find peace then??
This is a cold war between the countries and we cannot dream of peace unless one comes out supreme. There is a support from inside our country for various reasons ranging from religion to corruption and poverty. The only solution is sealing the borders and working towards winning the cold war in outright manner. The way US did...

Samjhauta blast
by AJAY P on Feb 20, 2007 11:15 AM  Permalink

This is no strange coinicidence that every mass terror event in India happens immediately after a big one in Pakistan . This happened for Samjhauta, Mumbai , Varanasi and New Delhi blasts. It's like somebody wanting to divert international attention from Pakistan's problem to that in India. It may not be surprising if the generals in Pakistan who have now created an infrastructure of terror in India just signals for a strike here. Sad to say but whatever you do with our neighbour their overall design on India's destruction remains ultimate goal.

Calls that cannot be ignored
by sheila das on Feb 20, 2007 11:04 AM  Permalink

A police officer in Delhi said this "first thing that happens when a suspected terorist is arrested, is a series of phone calls from the high and mighty to release the person immediately. Calls that cannot be ignored for one's own safety....reason why terrorism can never be tackled efffectively in India".

When the Forest Robin Hood of the Kerala-Karnataka forests mr. veerapan was at large no one could do anything. Ultimately he had to be "killed in an encounter" by Madam Jayalalitha's Police force
