President Rule
by Meera Joshi on Feb 17, 2007 03:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Sir,
Imposition of President Rule is the only solution in Uttar-Pradesh. Mulayam had given it the name Uttam-Pradesh but in true sense it had become Ulta-Pradesh. Law and order situation is worsening day by day. Mafia's are ruling this state with their might.
President Rule is the only solution for a free and fair election in coming months. Mulayam will hijack this election with his might and power by using government machinery. All the major parties don't have courage to fight Mulayam Singh alone. When he is out of seat than only their will be a fair election.

Sorry, it is not the way to rule the country and you want Congress to rule the country without winning an election. Imposition of president's rule is illegal and if so, what we have to do when Central Govt. is doing wrong things.

BJP speaker at the guidence of BJP Delhi, alowed horse trading and if you deduct this 13 from the no of votes voted at the time of foming the govt, MUlayam sigh never had the majority to rule so far.
All the laws passed during this period to be scrapped and Prisident rule to be imposed. The govt never had majority. Now it may have .It manupulated this majority because the minority Govt was running so far.
Ajith

Congress is hell bent on comming to power in UP . This might be the best time for them to impose the president rule and the sonias and Rahuls can then mount the 'Gaddi" by default.

All right minded citizens of this country should protest this move by congress.

UP Governor in a hurry.
by Manohar Yadawatti on Feb 17, 2007 02:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

UP Governor's reported announcement, favouring President's rule in the state is no surprise. It has been made amply clear by the Supreme Court in the S.R.Bommai case that any trial of strength should be done on the floor of the house and not on the lawns of any Rajbhavan. But irrespective of any number of adverse strictures by the courts,Men in power tend to commit the very same blunders every now and then.Mulayam Singh is no saint, but he has already announced of proving his majority on the floor of the house on 26th of this month.Whether he could do it or not,one needs to wait and see.But if you don't have the patience to wait and see, then be prepared for the bashings once again.

Dear Ajit, we can understand the feelings. But don't bring this on this subject. Because, killings of innocents, injustice etc. are everywhere in this country. It is becauce of the rotten system and you and we are also responsible for this type of sorry state of affairs. If we actually look into the present democratic and election system, we cannot say that we are a truly democratic country which our great Indian Leaders wanted to be here. Corruption is everywhere and under the present circumstances, we don't see it will reduce because of the bad goveranance and bad structure of our democratic structure.

when the chief minister is ready to prove his majority, then why not give him an oppurtunity.has the congress goverment at the centre ever recommended dismissing a congress ruled state goverment.they appointed an pro active governor only to harass the chief minister.one thing UP would be a waterloo for the congress in the coming assembly electon.
