Devdasis system existed in most of the temples. DEV (GOD) Dasi (slave) means marrying god and Goddesses and devoted themselves to them and its rituals for the whole life. Devdasis existed right from the age of ancient Veda time to help in temple rituals apart from that they were to sing and dance for gods praising. For this ritual practice family donated their younger girl child to the temple. Status of devdasi was high in the society and known as divine girl. As the time passed, system changed and they were used for sex obligation for high caste and class people. Major percentage of low caste and tribal girls are forced to this practice under the cover of religion and some adopt for the reason that family had a history of Devdasis.

You r right, the problem is nobody understands their own relegion perfectly even majority of muslims, all r following their self called gurus like Mullhas / Pandit etc. U can check u r own books where in prophecy about Islam and The Messenger is given and It also acknowledges what Islam says..pl go through it..

Whatever you have quoted ,are transalation done by some author from anciept hindu scripture--Whenever anomaly in Quran is pointed the common argument among you guys is that it is taken from some RSS site/Book.
I think the same argument should be valid here ..even I can say that some hindu hater has purposely twisted the scripture to fit some ill design...
secondly,you dont have to try so desperate attempts to legitimise islam - i accept it as one of the religion of world.however we have problem with its jihadi follower- who dont show similar respect and tolerance to other religion..and Aurangzeb was one among them !!!

Dear Friend, In case you are thinking Islam is so great fine.But dont show your Great Knowledge about others. There were never Vedaism,Puranisms etc.Infact the Santahan Dharma (which is now called as Hinduism) tells how to lead life peacefully. It even never takes any God's name. atheists like Charvaka were also respected for their knowledge. But Islam if it is so great then why ae its people are involved in killing of innosent people.I think they are inspired by Pophet Mohmad who arranged killing of over seven hundred Jews overnight because they refused to convert to Islam.

Dear, Mohd did forgive his enemies when & only when they CONVERTED to his faith.That is what is happening in Thailand,West of China,Chechnya,Iraq,.Muslims want to first show that they are being oppressed and then force others to convert.UK university have seen the forcible,dirty work of these fundamentalists.
