Instead of looking to kings of past & live in 21st Century. In 21st century education is changing people life. So give good education to your kids or take yourself, it really work. Specially Muslims need to firmly believe on good education (not like madarsa).

The present is a reflection of the past. The present manifests in the future . Unless you resolve the past in the spirit of understanding , you will see the past continuously reflecting in the future. Resolve the past in the present and create a new beginning for the futuer
I believe that really no king was totally good at heart.. None at all.. I don't love any king and I don't hate any king either. But I will just state the facts that I've learnt because I am a history student and my view point is absolutely neutral. OK. So I know many would be shocked to know that Aurangzeb was the most successful Mughal King. 1. Father ShahJahan decided to give his throne to his eldest son. Aurangzeb claimed that he is better than Dara Shiko. So to be fair, Shah Jahan announced war. Whoever wins, gets the throne. That time if you won you could kill the other king. But because Shah Jahan was his father, Aurangzeb kept him in house-arrest instead of killing him. 2. About destroying temples... only few of you may know that Shivaji has destroyed more number of temples than Aurangzeb. ANd I don't blame him because at that time, there was no "World Trade Centre". If you invade temples or mosques, you rule. So this was how it went.
3. About the intolerance. I felt like Laughing out loud because it is an IAS question. In whose rule were the most Hindus employed... guess? It was Aurangzeb. Surprised? Shocked? It is 100% true.
Jahangir had a love for paintings, Shah Jahan had it for structures. They all built structures so that people would remember them. But Aurangzeb didn't. Sure he was cruel. EVERY KING WAS CRUEL.Had to be. But do you know? Aurangzeb did not take 1 penny from royal treasure. He earned with hardwork.. by sewing caps. Unbelievable but
firstly muslims believe tat the quran is the direct revelation of ALLAH -the one and only GOD to muhammad pbuh through the medium of angel jibreel,so as GOD is all knowing and the CREATOR, the quran which is HIS speech is logically free from defect and applicable to all times,the open challenge of the quran is that -show even a single contradiction in it,in 1400 years no one has been able to do so,secondly,the evil of hitler is never blamed on the christianity so how come alleged excesses of aurangazeb be blamed on islam?it is very clearly mentioned in the quran "there is no compulsion in religion"forced conversions are haram in islam,if a drunkard has a car accident -it is the driver and not the car who should be blamed,the first forty years of islam are a model for any society to emulate in all aspects,
The KORAN calls for JIHAD against the evils/satans/unjustness/violent-ego of the SELF, the SYSTEM and the SURROUNDING. Methods of JIHAD are many. KILLING within the rules of warfare is also one of them.
It is to bring mainly LARGER PEACE&JUSTICE and can be against anybody either Arab-Kafirs, Muslim-Yazeed, Corrupt-Brahmins,Tribal-Chengis…. or any modern evil.
AurangZeb’s were the days of military rule. The subjects and citizens wished to have the strongest and the wisest as their ruler. everybody had got a right to prove himself to be the best ruler. and only war between the different candidates could judge, who would be the best. no matter what relationship the candidates had between themselves.
We know that a state, a kingdom or a government is for basically giving peace and justice in a society. Peace can be hampered for a while to bring a larger justice....like a situation of war. and again little injustice can be justified to bring and keep the larger peace around.....like a situation of curfew in any area.
And the expansion of an empire is also not unjust. Mughal emperors did it like Ashoka and Alexander-the Greats conquered lands and made empires. AurangZeb in particular might have been more intolerant towards the injustices of Brahmins on the lower castes.... and also towards the social/ spiritual /physical evil acts/rituals that were prevalent in the temples of those days. he had got his own personality and method
AURANGAZEEB DID INDIA AT A GREAT STRENGTH YOU HE DID WAST INDIA THAT CAN NOT POSSIBLE EVEN TO DAY IF WE STILL PURSUE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREATER POWER IN THE REGION LIKE CHINA HE DEMOLISHED TEMPLE AND CONVERTED HINDUS TO MUSLIMS IT THAT PERIOD THE UPPER CLASS IS ENJOYING ALL PRIVILEGED AND THEY HANDLED LOWER CLASS PEOPLE VERY BADLY THAT CULTURE IS STILL FOLLOWING TEMPLES WORSHIP ARE THE ENJOYMENT OF UPPER CLASS AND NOBLE MANS BECAUSE OF THAT HE DID THAT HE IS NOT USED PUBLIC MONEY FOR HIS PERSONAL AFFAIR HE DOES NOT ALLOW TO BOW SO AND HE FOUND GUILTY HE NEVER GAVE UP ACTION AGAINST TO HIS BROTHER HE IS BEHAVED AS A REAL RULER HE DOES NOT KILLED HINDUS HE DOES NOT ATTACK POOR PEOPLES HUT HE DOES NOT IMPOSE HIGH TAX ONLY HE RACALLED GAZNI BUT THE TOTAL TAX IS LESS THAN COMPARATIVENESS TO LATE EMPORORS HINDU EXTREMIST SHOULD NOTE IE WHATS THE LIVING CONDITION OF PEOPLE IN THAT PERIOD THERE IS NO SATHI,UNTOUCHABILITY ETC HINDUS EXTREMIST ARE ALL WAYS LOOK TO UPPERCLASS PEOPLE PRIVILEGE HOW MUCH PEOPLE HAD BEEN KILLED BY UPPERCLASS PEOPLE BY THEY ARE BARRED FROM GOOD JOB,THEY BEHAVED VERY WORSEN TO LOWER CLASS ALL THESE REASONS AURANGAZIB HATE HNDUS WHY SHOULD YOU OPPOSE THIS ALL HINDUS EMPERORS ARE MERELY FOLLOW THIS SO THEY WAnt loyal to rich people exempt hemu
