Sacchar committe report clearly establishes that Muslim Fertility Rate is very close to the Fertility rate of Hindus. In states of north India like UP & Bihar their Fertility Rate is slightly higher than National Average But this is true of Hindus also in these states!

But Noted scholar & former governor of Orissa Mr. B.N.Pandey, does not agree with you. He wrote in his book “Islam & Indian Culture” about the emperor Aurangzeb on page 41 that there are many temples for which land/money was provided by Aurangzeb.

Seriosuly, what a nonsense.... He was a good ruler because he had conquered and was ruling India instead of Britishers who conquered and ruled India... He was converting people to Islam without there consent rather than Britishers using missionaries to do so.... Atleast in British rule, someone was answerable to some higher power, though it may not have helped many and most Indians but still there wasnt an autocrat rule of a King who killed his brother just cause he was interested in Hinduism...

india was never meant to be a secular country. if it was the case why did it undergo partition? Pakistani Hindus were either brutally murdered or forcefully converted. Hindus in India showed some kind of mercy to muslims and let them stay and even granted them special rights which even hindus do not enjoy neither do muslims in pak and what do we get in return? series of bomb blasts, forceful conversions, rapes, murders and more than all that people like u telling us that muslims are ill-treated in india.. wake up...it was only during his rule, AMughal empire started collapsing. He was the one who started it with his mindless wars...It was during his period only, Shivaji rose and gave reply to him in his language, by attacking a Mughal/Sultanate villages, whenever a Hindu village was attacked and plundered.

Hello Dear Guest, Even though the message is pretty old but still I felt like responding as the entire chain is heading into a wrong direction. No one is saying that he was flawless and perfect king. He was unlike anyone else and has his share of pros and cons and the only concern here was to clarify whether he forced conversion and demolished temples or not. Yes he did that but as rightly stated by Murali, that was situational rather than self motived..similar to what Karsevaks did to RJB-Babri Mosque. He was cruel in some context and on the same hand, some historians claims that he did a lot many good things too, irrespective of religious biasness. Do let me know if you need proofs or some reference books and I can surely refer some of them (to me it looked very close to reality but not sure if you will like that) Thanks, SAK

I would like to know one simple thing, if you have portrayed Aurangzeb as a cruel emperror how did he rule india for 48 years. Anyone of you can go and check history no dictator could rule a country for 48 years if he was cruel to his people..... From your perspective its forceful conversion to Islam while for we converts it was forceful expulsion from Hinduism. Remember Baba Amberdkar??? This is not just for you but for all those blaming use of SWORD for converting to Islam -Dont blame others see within- Qing dynasty in china ruled around the same time of aurangzeb. They did their best to wipeout muslims but there are still 20-100 millions muslims in china. Coersion is the least of the reason why people change their religion.

Bharath Sir, Kindly clarify your doubts on invasion by Ghori and Ghazni and comparing that with Mughals as former two came specifically to plunder the wealth of our nation whereas Mughals came here with an expansion plans. Also read the statements of early Britishers who got carried away by the wealth of India and planned to settle here and if it would have been looted and plundered by Mughals, the scene would have been different. Aliya deep down im sure you really wish that Islam ultimately becoms the only religion in this world, even if its by force, you muslims forever justify your actions as reactions to something atrocious, being an indian, you guys will raise anti-Israel protests, anti-america protests, Why??
