Judiciary The Last Indian Hope
by Santosh Singh on Feb 16, 2007 01:55 PM  Permalink

..Given the string of Judgements from Jessica Lal , Priyadarshini Mattoo to current case, the court has always been a saviour to thie Inidankinds. Democracy in India means Self Centered and Opputunistic leadership with a buch of Sycophant claiming to represent the mass ! Long live the India Judiciary !!

Vinod,
Do you still feel that we have to show Leniency against this barbaric act and the people involved. Yes your point about the family of the Sentenced people is correct but what about the family of the 3 girl students (shedding blood for this injustice). One way these 3 condemned men & the other sentenced fro Jail will be witness to the sufferings of their own family for their Inhuman & unpardonable act.

Roast them a bit before hanging
by rational thought on Feb 16, 2007 01:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

They should be roasted a bit on slow fire just to give a taste of their own medicine, before being hanged.

Well said rational thought,
I prefer to use the same Bus for all the accused (ironically the bus can be taken to the same spot and punishment to be served)

This view should be considered seriously in view of current circumstances where public properties are the first target in case of any protest. If not showing live, atleast the mdeia should publicise enough to instigate some fear in those with such cruel mind.

Why just 3 are to be Punished?
by Radhakrishnan Santhanam on Feb 16, 2007 01:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When Rajiv Gandhi was assinated LTTE was totally banned in India.
When this crime has been done for the sake of the AIADMK leader why not the court ban AIADMK or just pull the leader for an answer - atleast once!!!!

If this is not questioned now then every leader will have to right to commit a simillar crime.

You are 100% correct. But who will do this? If the courts have enough power to do it, let us welcome.

What is the reply of HER MAJAESTY to this judgement. Has she kept her mum shut? We will see.

Gentlemen,
I strongly feel that our beloved president will not spare these beasts (when they come for clemency - Since the High Court & the Supreme Court will for sure confirm the sentence). I hope our President completes his term by rejecting the clemency for the accused

Why hang them alone?
by Sanjay Balakrishnan on Feb 16, 2007 01:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

These persons to be hanged are just tools or scapegoats. They are controlled and directed by bigger criminals (read politicians) who instigate them to do such things. Unless these behind the scene polticians are hanged, they will continue to instigate such crimes through other tools. I symapthise with the doers who were passionately brainwashed by the cunning, scheming political biggies. Hope it proves a deterrent to other 'doers' also that the politicians are sitting comfortably while these people and their families live a life shunned by the scoiety.

Never Mind ,for starters let these guys be punished atleast. You cant just always say its the big guys to be blamed. You dont get instigated to do such heinous crimes for nothing .Even these guys have mind of their own and even they do it for their own selfish needs. If people like these are convicted other stooges of these politicians will be alert next time they have something of this sort in theor minds

Neha,
People may have a mind of their own, often they are pawns in the hands of their leaders. It is their insecurity and personal failings that force them to cling to their leaders. And every word from their leader whether explicit or implicit, is god's word for them. They get a purpose in life and get intoxicated with illusional power, and go and do such things. Leaders on their part, think that they are above law, and get their stooges do whatever that will get them fame or notoriety. Look at Thackeray: the moment that man opens his mouth, he spews venom and use some convoluted logic to bully his way. Look at Lalu. Look at Modi. You will find them everywhere. It is poor 'karkarthas' who suddenly feel empowered when their bosses even lift a finger in their direction.

Spare a thought for the families of those who would be hung. Who will be responsible for their fates?
