I know that the said official had done a splendid job in the ongoing panchayat poll and was acnowldged by non other then the collector humself before poll.He had got permission from his superior official verbely as well and was wished by all his office staff.Some unresonable people with some selfish intent made him culprit in the eyes of the distict administration and hence the action.May god help him.
in point of official view,the action seems somewhat right.But u know reason of bunking of suspended offiecer was concerned to offer of Carorepati show.I think if i had been at the place of that offiecer,i would have done the same thing.I think Colletor has proved himself very harsh,admant and inhuman .
Is it a case of jealousy on the part of some Govt officials who could not make it? after all one man could be spared for a few days? Or may be that is a good way to keep him away from election duty?!!!He honestly applied for leave only to be denied?
You can't earn money under the table and you can't go to KBC either? Why was his leave rejected? Does he not have dreams to become a crorepati? The government should have appointed someone else for the elections in the interim. This shows that the govt is interested more in punishing individuals rather than running administration. And no, i don't think this is a KBC promo - it is a news related to a govt action.

A Govt. official has responsibilities...... they have to perform their duty before doing something as silly as this. If it was for a genuine reason, the administration might not have taken such action. One of the reasons why India is still NOT a poor man's place (people want to dream & NOT want to perform on their duty)

So, are you trying to say that the government could not keep a backup for an important election duty? Then it is the government's fault. What if this officer fell sick? What do you mean by genuine? You are trying to force people into making false sickness claims. I admire that this person gave the right reason while applying for leave. Everyone has responsibilities and everyone has dreams, too. Why are panchayat elections important? because they make administration easier (this is debateable) and that leads to growth and money and everything else. So, ultimately, the purpose of the elections is also to get more money and growth. So, how is thinking about KBC wrong?

India is still poor man's place because, the big heads behind the administration are left and any action taken is on low level people.. there are lots and lots of Higher officials who are sitting on crores and crores of rupees...first they should be punished.. who knows how many times that collector has taken leaves with out permissions..
Hey Rediff Person, Plz leave KBC and dont publish the KBC related articles. We are not gng to read these. There lot of other news to share. Concentrate on that.

Who invited you and what is your problem? What are you paying for rediff usages? Every one is free to take decision in his/her interest so you are welcome to remove rediff.
