Now what is the Indian govt and the President of India waiting for ? Are we waiting for a plane to be hijacked or a minister's daughter to be kidnapped by the terrorists so that the biggest traitor of this nation is released scot free ?
I think he is not a lesser criminal than Dhananjay..who was hanged for raping and killing a minor and that too after he served 14 years in jail. This person is convicted for mass killings with an intention to destabilize fabric of India!

Giving in life sentence and seeing him behind bars is better punishment than a state commiting murder of a murderer. In which case state comes at par with the criminal. In civilise soceity, you can not punish an offender, but commiting the same offence against him. Imagine living a whole filthy toilet cubical with rodents all your life on roaches infested food...with haunting images of past...Its so depressing that the person living in such conditions often pray for death. Ive been to prisons were undertrials rot, its hell on earth. Lets wish he gets to live in such place all his life...That would be more apt than a jatka death which might make him a martyr for kashmiri jerks.

I don't know why people just go on supporting something without thinking. Ammy, in your case your arguments are just not sufficient to justify not to hang afzal. Where is your humanaterian ground when these terroists kill hundreds of innocent people. Try to feel that, and think a bit before showing your psuedo philanthropy.

wats the hurry.. there are still no hijacked planes.. no plans by afzal to enter politics.. to lets wait a while.. long live indian democracy
We are still discussing about mercy for a traitor. It's really shameful. Irrespecitve of religion, status, power and so forth of the criminal the judgement should not be changed specially in cases like this much of seriousness and for any case in general.
I am not sure what problem will the mercy petition acceptance will solve. But for sure it is going to raise few more following incidents. It's a question of national integrity and national prode. We can not just escape from here for political profit. Please poloticians don't do this. Don't sell out mother nation for your vote bank.

I agree with Rajesh Pandey's views. A person, who has committed an offence against the country, irrespective of his religion, deserves to be hanged. The so called secularists like the Congress, the communists and the likes of Mulayam singh, Arundhati Roy will quote the scripture of "Human rights" to get the punished annulled by hook or crook. Hope the President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam, on whom we have the greatest trust , will see to it that justice prevails. KRISHNAMURTHY.
