Bcoz if so many people were killed then, how come Hindus are in such a vast majority in India now!!! Sorry, but I dont mean to offend any fair-minded Hindu brothers.. but the figures that this man placed here is totally out of place.. And I dont understand why people talk about something that they have no idea about.. Aapne kabhi Quran translation mein padha hai.. Aur agar padha hai, to bata deejiye ke kis line mein Allah ne kaha ke saare disbelievers ko maar do.. Mr. Intelligent, you are one of those stupid people who are being influenced by the propaganda in the media... Its certainly written in Quran to kill disbelievers... I won%u2019t deny that%u2026 but how?? In what context?? When our soldiers fought with the Pakistani and Chinese armies in various wars, the commander of our army didn%u2019t order our (Indian) soldiers to kill the rival soldiers by explaining their appearances and the clothes they were wearing... When in war, the commander must have said, "kill the Chinese or the Pakistanis and defend our country"... In the same way, when that verse in the Quran was revealed, the Muslims were indulged in war with the disbelievers (and mind you, it were the disbelievers who attacked the Muslims), and since Allah is our commander, He commanded the believers to kill the disbelievers (but that was only for that situation)%u2026 If you are not aware, let me tell you that Quran didn%u2019t come on earth as a book%u2026 The words in Quran were actually the words of Allah (the Supreme God) that was brought to Prophet Muhammad PBUH by the angel, Gabriel%u2026 So, these words were revealed to Prophet Muhammad PBUH whenever the situation required (i.e. whenever there was a requirement of divine guidance for the prophet and the people on earth or whenever Allah wanted to send a command, message or a warning to the mankind)%u2026 So, Allah would send that message through Angel Gabriel and the angel would say those words to Prophet Muhammad PBUH%u2026 Thus, in-numerous messages were sent down during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad PBUH%u2026 And since Prophet Muhammad PBUH was uneducated, he would memorise those words and then make his companions to write it down on a paper%u2026 Even so, many companions of the Prophet and obviously Prophet Muhammad PBUH himself memorised all the messages that were sent down to him%u2026 So eventually, all these messages were compiled into a book after the Prophet%u2019s death, so that we don%u2019t lose or forget the divine guidance in any way%u2026 And thus, all the messages that were brought from Almighty Allah to Prophet Muhammad PBUH are recorded in that one book, the Glorious Quran, so that humankind can seek guidance from it%u2026 Hence, even now, you would see many Hafidh in the Muslim community, who have memorised the entire Quran and thus keeping the authenticity of the book perfectly intact since 1427 years (but that%u2019s only by the grace of Almighty Allah). And yes, READ THIS CAREFULLY, the very next verse to that controversial verse is, "and make peace if they agree to make peace"... See how glorious the Quran is!!! Even during war, Prophet Muhammad PBUH was advised to make peace if the opponents want peace too... In short, Allah and obviously all Muslims, want peace... but if the Muslims are oppressed and attacked, we have to defend ourselves with all our might (as any citizen or person would do in that situation).. but still we have to look for peace in that situation too... The bottomline is, if a person wants to pick negative things about someone or something, its not very hard.. All they have to do is, take things out of context... and then its not hard to make it popular (ofcourse, in a negative way).. And certainly, if you have the media on your side, then who can stop you... If really Quran would have directed Muslims to kill disbelievers, then God only knows, what would have happened to this world... Bcoz, as a Muslim, we all do our best to follow every single word of it.. And obviously, Quran directs everyone to live in peace and defend when you are attacked (and even then, lookout for the opportunity to make peace)... Bcoz War and violence only brings destruction and Peace brings prosperity... IF GIVEN AN OPTION, WE MUSLIMS WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN PEACE, BUT NOT BY DESTROYING OUR OWN SELF-RESPECT... And there is no way that we would edit our Quran in any way%u2026 It is a complete word of God and we will do our best to seek complete guidance from it%u2026 It doesn%u2019t matter to us, if people throw baseless allegations at it and have it edited, as all the other holy scriptures in the world%u2026 Quran has been and will always be a complete and un-edited book, Insha Allah%u2026 As for the insane people who are doing heinous in the name of religion, we got to correct them, by telling them what Quran really says%u2026 And ofcourse, nab the people who are instigating hatred into their hearts%u2026 And yes, the kind of message (with full of hatred for Islam and Muslims) wont help our cause%u2026 If it can make %u2018me%u2019 angry, it can certainly make any hot-headed Muslim young man angry%u2026 Though I sensible enough to ignore what you have said, bcoz I know the reality, but not all Muslims could ignore the hatred that you have shown towards our beautiful religion. Boss, grow up... The Almighty has blessed you with eyes and brain.. Read and explore (but only thru un-biased source), rather than throwing dirt and poison at others... RE:Communal clashes of the World by Tabrez on Feb 13, 2007 07:12 AM  Permalink You should know that Islam is the only Holy Scripture that actually sets the rules of war i.e. the believers have been advised to follow some strict guidelines EVEN during the state of war... And yes, the verse that states these rules are in the same chapter that you referred in your message (i.e. killing non-believers - I have cleared the misconception about this message in my previous message too).. So, some of the rules are: 1) The believers cannot harm women, children, animals, places of worship (yes, that includes temple, church etc), fields, properties and even non-combatant men (i.e. the men who are not taking part in the war)... 2) And you know what, if an enemy soldier is dead, the Muslims cannot do any harm to its body and if a believer does any sort of harm to the enemy soldier's dead body, he is punished severely as per the Islamic law... 3) If a city or place is taken over by the Islamic army, the native people are free to follow their own religion... Can you believe all this??? The religion that you were trying to vilify has got all these rules... And these were set over 1400 years ago... All these Geneva Convention and other humanitarian laws didn%u2019t even exist then (these current humanitarian laws have been around for just over 50 years only)... So, Islamic principles are much more superior and older... Let me correct one thing here... Kaafir is not a word of disgust or a derogatory word... A Muslim is referred as Believer by Allah in the Holy Quran(i.e. believer in the One Supreme God) and a person who doesn't do it is called Kaafir ("Non-believer" in English).. So, please dont take it as a swearing word, its only a arabic translation for non-believer. Its just like Himsa-Ahimsa (violence-nonviolence), vegeterian-nonvegeterian etc. So, anyone who doesn%u2019t believe in the One Supreme God (only) is called a non-believer. If someone doesn't believe in the theology of Hinduism, there might be a term for that too. This same Kaafir word is termed in Urdu as Gair-Musalmaan (i.e. non-muslims)... I hope you understand what I am trying to say.. Though I understand that some Muslims are doing sort of crap stuff... But that doesn't mean that Islam directs them to do it... They are just misguided people... So, correct your knowledge on Islam bro... Otherwise, just dont point finger at it... Your allegations and thoughts would provoke more people and that would only be destructive for EVERYONE... So, talk peace and try to correct everyone, as we have bad elements in every community...
