Hey what are u trying to prove, the bundh was successful as declared by all the leading news chennels but i think u r having some updation problem. we kannadigas were successful in telling what we wanted. This was a silent protest towards to show our unity. This was without a leading political outfit support imagine if some one had supported then what would have been. Arey u people dont know what is happenig and u tell as if u know everything

belgaum didnt have a bandh because We, Marathis don't have a stake in it. Why should we support the selfish needs of Karnatak when we should be with MH.
Bandh is calm and no major violance happened in Karnataka.
Great job done by Karnataka Govt by taking preventing measures like arresting thousands of Kannadiga gundas who protest against the fair and balanced verdict.

only u have to tell the verdict as fair as u might be a tamilian who resides outside karntaka come and ask your mates in karnataka u will come to know, u should be grateful that we remained quite because we dont want to hurt ourselves or damage our propert unlike maniacs like u

I'm not telling it is fair. Your Karnataka Lawyer Mr. Nariman who appeared in Cauvery tribunal had told that it is fair and balanced verdict.
He is the one who defended the Karnataka in Tribunal, he himself accepted, then who has to tell......

my dear friend, to check the fairness of the verdict just go through this link.. http://www.rediff.com/news/2007/feb/06guest.htm
Mr. Nariman may be K'taka's lawyer, but he can;t help when the panel itself is biased to give the current verdict!!
RE:RE:RE:RE:Bandh is calm and no major violance...
by tk on Feb 12, 2007 07:45 PM Permalink
If the panel is baised, he should say, it is biased, instead he said, the verdict is fair.
The Tribunal panel is composed of expert committee and they analysed all the aspects for 16 years, and they sat for over 500 times, after deep and through analysis only they gave the verdict.
Moreover the verdict is came from common person not from Tamils or Kannadigas.
This kind of nutral verdict itself you people not agreeing as fair verdict.
How can I accept the article in the above mentioned link is true and fair which is composed in a day by Kannadigas?

a fine and fitting reply. The truth is with Tamil people in this regard and kannadigas are not able to digest it...for sure.

yes..tk. I agree with you that the verdict is fair and balanced..Kannadigas are dancing left and right like monkeys without any use..They should just obey the verdict and get lost

yes...I spoke to some of my friends in karnataka (many of them are kannadigas)...They said the bandh is very calm. Most of the common people are not interested in this bandh which is mostly observed by some kannada fanatic maniacs. On the whole, as you said, the bandh is failed in karnataka with only 20% of the state observing it.

The whole of the article for which URL has been posted, the word Tamil appears only twice and it doesnt talk about anything as written by the author , Any Non Tamils can read the article and post their comments. Iam convinced , Its idiotic to really talk sense with tamilians.

You look at yourself in the mirror. For idiot & stupid person like you will always think that others are also stupid & idiot. I think you are man(i doubt) without brains. As you don't have brains you think from somewhere else. So that is the reason everyotherperson looks like an idiot to you. You are the only person like this or all tamilians are like this?

What you people did in the Tribunal trials for past 16 years?
Is your lawyer is so selfish?, you have lawyers who thinks about only his victory than his party or states victory?
Do you lack of good knowledgeable patriotic lawyers to defend you in tribunal?
or Do you lack of enough statistics and points to present in front of Tribunal?
Your great lawyer himself accepted the verdict after that why you people unnecessarily politicing this issue and going behind your politicians like scape goat? Wake uuuuppppp
Well said...but i dont think it can applied universally. Its best suited if the employees of a company are aggrieved and they want to show their anger(in a peaceful and constructive way). But how can you convey your message to the deaf ears of the admin by working extra hours (whether we have the guts or not ,that's a topic for another hot discussion and I dont want to comment on that :))? Even Mahatma Gandhiji took out non-alignment movement against the British admin. Is it not a strike? Didn't the people who were not part of the movement feel irritated? My opinion: if you want to convey your message to some deaf ears, you need to yell, but that doesn't mean you need to resort to violence. if you are a part of it you will see its necessity, if are neutral you will feel irritated and if you are against it you will oppose. that's a normal human behaviour :)

You have broken the thread....Everyone Please note this is the thread on last page:
----- One should make use of the oppertunity provided to them....the case was with tribunal for over 16 years....representatives of this state should have yelled there....and now the right way is to file a review petition (which is already being done) and present strong arguments in front of the tribunal and yell there as much as you can....not by calling for bandh and blocking TV channels and disrupting normal life of people....isn't it affecting business and daily wage worker. Is this affecting the ecomnomy....what are you going to get by stopping trains? you will find only normal citizen sufferring...etc etc....i can go on and on.....if you like....
MIND YOU ..... I am not a tamilian .... but i am strictly against any sort of SO Called BANDH.
This is what is MY OPINION!! Got it?
Simple Example: If you have problem with your neighbour house, do you close down your own house, break your own property and ask your home-mates not to go outside and don't work? I think the answer is NO...then why this bandh in your own city and state....are we not troubling our own people in the state.
Why don't you go and get the neighbour state closed by calling bandh there?
Are you or your bandh organizers going to feed the daily wage worker for this (bandh) day?

Yes. No one for any reason should fight for their cause WITHOUT AFFECTING OTHERS. That is common sense. People who try to trouble others by protesting in public places and who call for bandh should be arrested and out in jail for atleast 1 year.
We should teach leason to these kind of people (let it be Tamiian, Kanadiga, north indian, etc). But, these dirty poilitians will never do that for their own cause to get milage out of every issue for their next elections.
See, kumaraswamy is putting the ball in center's court. So that congress will be in pressure.
He should go and take the next steps with Tribual which he WILL NOT do that for SURE. Dirty politians everywhere (both in TN and KA, or anywhere).
hai i am from north india, i stayed in chennai for almost 4 years and now in bangalore from last two years, i feel bangalore is far better then chennai in all everything

Schools in chennai dont force Tamil, infact u can have complete schooling without learning tamil. They dont block any TV channels if they have problems with neghbouring states.
YOU SEE ALL KARNATAKA POLITICIANS ARE FIGHTING FOR CAUVERY FOR THEM GOOD REALLY APRECIATABLE,TN POLITICIANS ARE FIGHTING WITH THEMSELVES,NOT FOR THE TN PEOPLE,GOD IS WITH TN LIKE MAHABHARATHA,AFTER 16 YEARS LONG TRIAL KRISHNA BHARAMATHMA SAVE TN THROUGH TRIBUNAL THANKS GOD

When you say we should thank Mr. Karunanidhi, you are really exhibiting your ignorance of history. In 1974, when the 1924 agreement between Mysore Maharaja and Madras Presidency expired, the then CMs of TN and Karnataka discussed the apportionment of Cauvery waters. Mr. Veerendra Patil (CM of Karnataka) offered TN a lot of water. The then CM of TN declined the offer;20 years later, the Tribunal was formed, which ended up apportioning LESS water to TN in 2007. You want to know who the CM of TN was in 1974 who so "wisely" turned down the generous offer of the Karnataka CM. None other than Mr. Karunanidhi. The same guy now proclaims "victory", conveniently ignoring the fact that he could have got more water if he had accepted the 1974 offer. And, you are propagating his story!!!! And, ironically, the same Karnataka which offered more water in 1974, is now claiming "grave injustice" when it is being forced to give away less.

Not sure whether the issue of which city - Madras or Bangalore - is better is relevant to the topic being discussed here. However, I would say that Bangalore is not as great as it is made out to be. It is the ONLY city in India where a two-wheeler will ride on a pedestrian platform (on the side of a road) in order to beat traffic, and actually shout at the poor pedestrian to give way!!!! I've never seen such things happen in any other city in India. This small incident should give you an idea of the intolerance of the average Bangalorean.
